Cards On Tap is a drinking party game so simple it doesn't even need a rulebook. Grab your friends, shuffle the deck, draw a card, and drink. It's that easy!
Each deck of Cards On Tap includes 200 unique cards that will keep the fun going as long as you want. With so many cards and so many topics covered, no two games will be the same. But be careful as some of these cards may end up having you reveal more about yourself than you bargained for!
With two different versions you can choose exactly what kind of drinking game you want to play. Want to keep it simple and just drink without worrying about winners and losers? Shuffle up and play the "Something Basic" version. In the mood to be a little bit competitive without getting bogged down by rules? Try the "Last Beer Standing" version that lets you declare a winner and see who can stay coherent the longest.
Cards On Tap features two different ways to play to best suit any occasion you can think of. All you need to play is a copy of Cards On Tap and each player must have a beverage of their choice for the game.
Something Basic Version: Choose a player to go first. On your turn, draw the top card of the deck. Read it aloud to all players and everyone does what it says. There are no losers, and you are all winners because you get to keep drinking for as long as you want!
Last Beer Standing Version: Place the top nine cards of the deck face down on the table in three rows of three. Choose a player to go first.
On your turn, flip over any two cards of your choice. If the two cards have the same number of Barrel symbols, pick one of the two cards. Read it aloud to all players and do what it says. Then, put both cards in the Discard Pile and replace them with two new face down cards from the deck. Then it is the next player's turn.
If the two cards you flipped over do not have the same number of Barrel symbols, flip them back down and you must drink. Then it is the next player’s turn. If you finish your drink, you are out of the game. The last player standing is the winner.
If you choose the $121 Craft A Card level, you will have the opportunity to work with the creators to "craft" your own card. You will be able to choose the title of the card and its text. Your name will also be featured on the bottom of the card so that everyone knows it was designed by you. This card will be featured in ALL copies of Cards On Tap printed for this campaign AND in the future! All Craft A Card rewards must be approved by the creators to ensure they are not offensive, are suitable for all players, and fit the theme of the game.
To ensure that the Craft A Card reward does not become a hindrance on delivering this game to our backers in a timely manner, we intend to reach out to backers of this level immediately upon the completion of this campaign. Our goal is to have all Craft A Card rewards designed and finalized by the end of April so that they may be submitted with the rest of the cards for testing and approval. While we would love to get the game to you as soon as possible, we understand there may be issues along the way that delay our delivery. That is why we want to be as transparent as possible with you about our expectations and how we are budgeting our time.
Unclaimed Rewards: We know that life happens and you may not, for one reason or another, claim your rewards or provide us shipping information before it is time for us to ship out our project. We understand! But we also need to protect ourselves as well.
Any rewards that go unclaimed for a year from our shipping date (currently estimated to be November 2019) will be forfeited. We will do our best to resolve any issues if you do contact us after the one year period, but we cannot guarantee fulfillment of rewards after that time. We hope you understand!
Risks and challenges
This is our first campaign and, while we are super excited to bring this game into the world, we know it is a huge learning experience. We have spent the last year researching every facet of production and shipping and fully believe we are ready for anything this project may throw at us.
Since the design of Cards On Tap is complete, the only design "hurdle" left is the Craft A Card backer level. Once those are finalized, we are fully ready for production. We have already selected a manufacturer and will be moving forward with production once the Kickstarter funds clear.
Backers can feel assured that they will receive their rewards as quickly as possible once production and shipping from overseas is complete. Our delivery date is an estimate and we will do everything in our power to meet or beat our estimated schedule.
Regardless, we will continually update our backers on the progress of our campaign and answer any questions in a timely manner. You may reach out to us here, or through our company email firstname.lastname@example.org.
*Please Note: We will do our absolute best to ensure that the game you receive is exactly as pictured above. However, we may have to make small changes to accommodate production requirements. In addition, any cards you see or have been previewed are subject to change before the final release of the game.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
