A prototype is a preliminary model of something. Projects that offer physical products need to show backers documentation of a working prototype. This gallery features photos, videos, and other visual documentation that will give backers a sense of what’s been accomplished so far and what’s left to do. Though the development process can vary for each project, these are the stages we typically see:
Proof of Concept
Explorations that test ideas and functionality.
Demonstrates the functionality of the final product, but looks different.
Looks like the final product, but is not functional.
Appearance and function match the final product, but is made with different manufacturing methods.

Our first reviews!
The P-51 Mustang Pilot's Watch - a timepiece inspired by an iconic WWII story.
Historic plane enthusiasts and experienced watchmakers Ronald & Guido Steffen from Antwerp, Belgium decided to pay homage to the P-51 Mustang by creating a watch that shares the same dynamism, agility and craftsmanship as this legendary airplane. Power and speed were to be the key words.
Discover this beautiful watch and reserve yours today!
Watches made in Switzerland are the best in the world. They have a long tradition of being incredibly precise, resistant and compact. Up until now, their quality is unequalled.
Strict Swiss regulations: movement manufactured in Switzerland , assembled and inspected in Switzerland, 60% or more components must be sourced from Switzerland
Enjoy the beauty of the details of this watch. Top and bottom parts are polished and the middle part is horizontally brushed.
There are so many details to discover when you look at the watch.
Nothing gives you a better feeling than wearing a great watch!
“Watches are more than just timepieces, they reflect a passion, a way of living.”
Ronald Steffen, RSC watch designer.
The Belgian watch designer Ronald Steffen was born in Zug, near the heart of the Swiss watch industry. He studied photography and graphic design at the Royal Academy of Antwerp, Belgium.
He is also the founder of the exclusive Swiss made brand STEFFEN (WWW.STEFFEN.BE). Passionate about aviation and specifically military aircraft, he designed the unique RSC (Ronald Steffen Creations) collection, with the aura of these nostalgic times.
The result is this unique watch collection, designed with an eye for detail. The back of the watch is engraved with a beautiful etching of the airplane and presented in an original RSC box.
The term 'the whole is greater than the sum of its parts' certainly applies to the RSC P-51 Mustang Pilot Watch. The 20 separate parts that make up this unique timepiece are manually assembled to create a perfect wrist watch. The P-51 Mustang Pilot Watch also features a solid screwed case back with notches. The front and back of the watch are covered by scratch-resistant sapphire glass, an absolute necessity in a pilot's watch of this calibre. The watch's movement is installed from the top, creating unparalleled stability. The crown is screwed into the watch at a slight angle, making the piece water resistant up to 10 ATM. The face of the watch also indicates the date, with juxtaposing white digits on a black background. The 316L stainless steel case is partly polished partly matt brushed. Minor details such as the delicate screws which hold together the case are testament to the craftsmanship that goes into each watch.
Because we're convinced that a lot of Backers want to give this watch as a Christmas present to a friend or beloved one, we created a PDF RSC Mustang Christmas Voucher. The moment you receive our survey with your choice of watch (beginning of December), we will send you a PDF file that you can print, you can put in a nice envelop and hand it over as a present.

Swiss movement manufacturer ETA SA has been developing and producing calibres for the watch industry since 1793.
Precision, reliability and level of performance are the key features of their products.
Sapphire glass is created by crystallizing corundum, or aluminium oxide, at temperatures of 4000° F and then by moulding the mixture into clear disks. These disks are then machined to the proper crystal size, polished, and perfectly fit to the watch case.
In fact, it has a hardness of 9 on the Mohs scale that ranges from 1 to 10, and is surpassed in hardness only by diamond. The major advantages of sapphire and the drawbacks of mineral crystals are summed up in the table above.
The dials are dual layered with cut-outs, that give much more 3D feeling than a normal dial. The paintings are perfectly matte and the printing is very precisely done
The 03, 09, the big hour stripes, part of the logo at 12 o'clock and the date border at 6 'o clock are luminous, giving light all night.

RSC is a Belgian brand started by brothers Ronald and Guido Steffen, both born in Zug, Switzerland. Ronald Steffen is no stranger to the watchmaking industry, having started the brand 'Steffen' in 2006. The Steffen collection consists of premium Swiss Made timepieces, for both men and women. The brothers decided in 2014 to branch out, introducing a line of pilot's watches to the market. Unique, quality-driven watches that offer exceptional value for money.
The North American Aviation P-51 Mustang is an American long-range, single (or two)-seat fighter and fighter-bomber used during World War II, the Korean War and other conflicts. From late 1943, P-51Bs were used by the USAAF’s Eighth Air Force to escort bombers in raids over Germany, while the RAF’s 2 TAF and the USAAF’s Ninth Air Force used the Merlin-powered Mustangs as fighter-bombers, roles in which the Mustang helped ensure Allied air superiority in 1944. The P-51 was also in service with Allied air forces in the North African, Mediterranean and Italian theatres. During World War II, Mustang pilots claimed 4,950 enemy aircraft shot down.

Risks and challenges
This is our first Kickstarter, but we and our manufacturing Swiss partners have years of experience in the industry! We are aware our project is complex and that there are always unforeseen issues, but we have anticipated and planned for potential risks and have built a rock-solid production and delivery plan.
Firstly, our production is quite advanced (our manufacturer produces high-end famous Swiss watch brands) so you can be very confident about our capacity to provide high-quality products on time. We spent over 1-year designing, developing, and receiving finalized production samples.
Secondly, we have very skilful and professional suppliers and do not anticipate delays to our timeline. However, if by chance anything unexpected happens, we promise to keep you informed, both during the campaign and afterward.
Thanks for the support! We are excited to take this next step with you, the Kickstarter community!
