We've received pictures of the sculpt for the Quel-Regult Recon Battlepod. The base game comes with a single Quel-Regult. The Glaug Command Pack Add-on also includes a single Quel-Regult.

3500 Backers Stretch Goal

"I know the game is 5mm, what's the appropriate railroad model scale? Is it Z scale?"

I guess it depends on your scale-tolerance. The game is listed as 1/285th scale while Z-Scale trains are AFAIK 1/220th. So, that would be a bit large for the game. There are lots of aftermarked manufacturers of 1/285th scale vehicles and terrain, though, so if PB/ND don't come out with anything, there are still sources available.

    2. Gotthammer on May 13, 2013

Z scale is pretty close, leaning on the side of oversized.

    3. Kid Kyoto on May 13, 2013

    4. Jeremey on May 13, 2013

Hopefully we'll see a picture of the decal sheets soon; with the amount of UEDF stuff, I'd be surprised if two decal sheets are enough.

Up to now the Ninjas have been excellent at updating the site, but the graphics for Pledge levels have not changed yet, nor the stretch goal graphic. Did they get lost in last nights several thousand dollar decrease?

@Kid, they have dropped hints that terrain may be included at some point if the funding allowed it.

    7. Kid Kyoto on May 13, 2013

Ah well, plenty of 5mm micro armor out there.

I wonder if they can make terrain or rubble piles?

    8. Bryan A. Ellis on May 13, 2013

They = them. Need moar coffee.

    9. Bryan A. Ellis on May 13, 2013

Alexander - The Ninjas recently announced that the license does not allow they to make any non-mecha minis.

    10. Kid Kyoto on May 13, 2013

Hi new backer here, can I put in a vote for some conventional APCs, trucks and other vehicles?

They'd be great for fleshing out the malcontent army list, for scenareos and even just as basing material for mecha. And it would be fun to do a hopeless battle of conventional forces against mecha!

They can even be added at little cost since the mecha sprues will probably have extra space.

    11. Lih Ping Teo on May 13, 2013

Hmm aren't they going to update the main page with the latest update?

    12. GeoJeff83 on May 13, 2013

I would like some more information about the sheet of decals. For example is 2 sheets for each faction only enough to cover what is going to come with the Battle Cry basic set or also enough to cover all of the unlocks that have been added on? This will help not only myself but I am sure others figure out just how many additional sheets of decals we will need to order.

"The FPA clearly isn't attracting the attention people have expected on these boards"

They were announced heading into a weekend. Weekends have always been slow. This has been an amazing weekend if you look at Kicktraq. I suspect that once the EDT folks start waking up today (Monday) and get to work, and don't want to work, they will spend the money they didn't spend on the weekend.

Re: Aussie shipping...for the life of me I don't remember the answere but there's one around here someplace...it's been asked before.

    14. Brian Brenner on May 13, 2013

Why are they excluded? Many retailers that ship to Australia carry the RPG for the same discount PB is offering.pick it up from one of them.

Sad that Australian backers of this KS, can't join in purchasing the RPG. Anyone know why we are excluded?

@Dalsiandon: I would disagree with you and the attraction brought about from the FPA. I think we shot up pretty well with that announcement. If anything it may have brought in people who were waiting for the announcement, and with what looks like Miriya on the way, it just helped catapult us a bit further.

If anything I might say that payday scheduling is the thing. Some people could be waiting for the mid week, to Friday for that last payday to give us a big boost!

    17. Brian Brenner on May 13, 2013

@Robert, list price is $15.95, are you sure you are not seeing the 20% off price?

Last seven days, lets hope for some fireworks!

    18. dalsiandon on May 13, 2013

I still want to learn about the Battle Foam bag. I like decals being next. Just perfect to help round the box games utility content. The FPA clearly isn't attracting the attention people have expected on these boards

    19. Mike on May 13, 2013

Now we needs us some stretches as 3400 and 3600 to help get more peeps in....

      More decals for the people

    22. robert stencel on May 13, 2013

Hmm, checked out the link for the Robotech RPG books, but not seeing a sale price there. Everything is showing as list price for me.

    23. Michael D'Auben on May 13, 2013

Love the sculpt on the recon pod. I'll be interested to see exactly what it can do in the game. Glad to hear that the decals will be available as add-ons, too. No doubt I'll be adding a few to my KS order. I consider myself an above average painter and I can't do free hand painting of symbols or lettering to save my life. I'm wondering what exactly the decals will include?

Kickstarter Backer on May 12, 2013

Very excited about the decals. It may not be a big ticket item like the Miriya FPA freebie but it's something the core set needs. Besides, the trend is that every third set of backer # goals gives a small upgrade to the core set when the other two give bigger model upgrades to battlecry+.

    25. Alex Clarke on May 12, 2013

My advise is to stock up on the decals during the KS. Because thats an amazing price. Fighting pirhana charges $5.50 for 1 decal sheet

    26. Jorel Levenson on May 12, 2013

This comment has been removed by Kickstarter.

    27. Pedwidge on May 12, 2013

Any hints on what those recon pods can do? The model looks great

    28. Joe Wright on May 12, 2013

The recon pod looks ace. I have this creeping feeling though I will only field it to die a pointless early game death. Because that's how (low) I roll.

    29. Kenneth C. Baker II on May 12, 2013

Yeah, personally, I'm more excited about the idea of Decals than I have been about nearly any other Stretch goal. Only very, very good painters will be able to pull off icons, numbering and lettering that will look anywhere near as nice as a good decal, and I was worried about running naked Veritechs. I hope they include some "variety" decals so we can differentiate squadrons, etc. Excellent news on the free decals (soon!) and, even better, the ability to buy extra sheets.

Will the sheets be purchasable in faction specific packs? ie. can I get 3x UEDF sheets?

Sweet! Definitely need more missles...Robotech and missiles is like peanut butter and jelly. A natural fit!!!

Love the idea of decals. A nicely painted mini with unit decals...just can't wait.. ;^)

      Ninjas are coming up ACES!!!

    31. Pharaohowen on May 12, 2013

For me personally decals are going to be a life saver. I can do color and washes but I simply never had the eyes or steady nerves for detail painting. I'll probably have to order extra sheets or beg somebody to put them on for me.

Recon pod has so many little details. Going to be a ton of fun to pain. Hope it will survive trips to the game store without losing some of the little antennae... antennas... whatever

    33. James Greene on May 12, 2013

Meh, I sure hope we get some UN SPACY decals

Ive loved the everyone of the strength in number stretch goals, Theyve been awesome, and 2 more artillary battle pods is awesome.

But the new 3500 is horrible. I get it, lots of people want decals, personally I could care less. But having to get 300 new backers, for something I can spend five dollars on....if I wanted them. What a waste of a backer stretch goal.

I cant complain though, they have been awesome until this point. The awesome couldnt last for ever.

    36. Robotek19 on May 12, 2013

I like the new sculpt! Can't wait to see sculpts for heavy infantry and supers. And duh of course the FPA!

    37. Lee Alley on May 12, 2013

      Hot diggity!

    38. Steven Carroll on May 12, 2013

Awesome update! Including extra Decals as a Purchase Add-On is great! Very nice Sculpt on the Pod as well!

      Thanks!

      We did it!!! More MEESILS!!!
