Any updates on the bags yet?

    2. Randall Case on May 5, 2013

Yep, that's the one. Rick is suiting up and is about to have a high drama moment with Minmei. And yes, that is the Macross because the "cut scene" is an up-kilt shot of the battlefortress. So it could be Super Veritech time! 8D

Patrik Fridland on May 5, 2013

The cut scen is from Force of arms episode. When Rick is getting ready for the big battle. In wich battle he fights in a super-veritech version of Skull one. So now Im 99% sure its the super veritech that will be the next stretch goal.

    4. Roy Fokker on May 5, 2013

Robotech Battlefoam??? please stop ... STOP! I will run out of money xD

    5. Mango on May 5, 2013

Will the support battlepod sprue have 2 support struts (the middle bit between the missile pods) or 4? It would be great if there were 4 so we could convert other battle pods or magnetize the missiles to allow for variation. Having just the 2 would be a big waste of potential.

    6. Donald McCalmon on May 5, 2013

Since I don't like to assume anything, will the BF bag have the Robotech patch as shown in the picture? I'd rather ask than buy one and find out later it doesn't come as shown.

      Thanks,
      Don

    7. Ross Webb-Wagg on May 5, 2013

will there be additional postage charged for the battle bags?

    8. Robotek19 on May 5, 2013

@Alex: Yes that is the SDF-1 it's from the transition from the previous scene tho ;-) After watching the episode 'Force of Arms', I'm pretty confident we're about to see Supers arrive :D

    9. Forar on May 5, 2013

I imagine carrying two entire forces might be difficult beyond a certain point, but outside of a single person with a Reckless to themselves, I could see establishing who will be playing which factions in advance and just bringing that one along. Even Malcontents would presumably be doable without carrying 200 models at once. Or just get 2 (or more) bags. Or look into one of the other bags/companies that make 'em for transporting larger miniature wargame armies.

    10. Maou_Mint on May 5, 2013

Screen shot from right before they take on the whole fleet. Wonder if this means we'll get an add-on Max and Miria's Valkyries soon... *hopeful*

    11. Pineapple Steak on May 4, 2013

A delay would give me more time to finish painting all of the models...

    12. Bryan McNamara on May 4, 2013

As far as I cam tell, $99 is a really sweet price on these bags. i would not be surprised if they got delayed though.

    13. Brian Brenner on May 4, 2013

Love my BF bags. Though I can say I'm not a fan of the cloth handle. I definitely prefer the rubber handle on my Malifaux and WM bag, it's so much more comfortable to carry. I don't see why you should wait. A bag is unlikely to hold everything and after you have it you can always have BF custom laser cut a tray or two for you to make it just perfect. In the mean time the rest of your minis will be safe in their foam put away. Personally I don't like the cardboard boxes and super soft foam in KR. My KR case card box and foam didn't even last a year with normal use. Bag is still good but the guts are all worn out.

    14. Donatos Aphael on May 4, 2013

Hey guys, best bet is to buy your foam cases AFTER you get your minis. Also you may want to consider KRMulticase, IMHO it's better than Battle Foam.

    15. Pineapple Steak on May 4, 2013

I know the holding capability of the carrying cases are still unknown, even to ND, but going off of the pics of slots (eight rows of nine small slots and six rows of eight larger slots), a carrying case could possibly hold 120 mechs (don't know about doubling up is feasible). Currently, a Showdown has 126 models and a Reckless order will net you 252 mech, so... yeah, make of that what you will.

    16. Nicholas on May 4, 2013

They fit so much awesome into such a tiny update :D

    17. Jim Topa on May 4, 2013

I suggest going with BF ISO trays. The large work well with Battletech minis and the walker size isos worked well with a number of the oversized battletech minis (could work well with the MAC II or the MAC III)

    18. Adán Tejada on May 4, 2013

Are the Battlefoam trays the standard PACK size trays?

    19. Alex Clarke on May 4, 2013

Bag shouldnt be made around a single model so imo no monster. Its common practice to buy a second smaller bag for the bulky crap. Bag should be tailored towards stock box sets

    20. Alex Clarke on May 4, 2013

Is that the sdf in the reflection overlay?

    21. Darkson on May 4, 2013

So how about some Zentraedi on foot to bolster our forces!!!

    22. David Pawley on May 4, 2013

The screen shot is not from Miss Macross. Rick gets in the taxi before the break, then is already suited up and running to the Armored Battloid after the break.

    23. Bayushi Koichi on May 4, 2013

Quick question. What guarantee did Battle Foam give that they will provide these bags in a timely manner? When I ordered my Sedition Wars BF bag, the original due date was November 2012. Then it was moved back to January 2013. They provide some in Jan., but ran out. It is now May and I still do not have my BF bag. Last e-mail from CMON said no, I repeat NO ETA from BF on my “delayed” bag. I am interested in one, but can they meet the Dec 2013 date?

Still belives its rick getting ready for the mage battle of earth. So think Super Veritech is soon here.

    25. Eric Cheong on May 4, 2013

Bring it on... Does shipping include cost of bag

    26. Robotek19 on May 4, 2013

@Steven: I'm sure the bags will continue to be available from battlefoam.com. Along with custom foam :-).

@Bruce: I suspect they will make 1 set that fits most best. From there we will likely be able to purchase more/different foam from BF themselves. I know I will likely sit on their foam creator as I have done in the past once the stuff is available and build out my own foam set :-)

    27. Bruce Ralston on May 4, 2013

Regarding the Battlefoam, may I suggest that a configuration with and without the MK2 Monster be considered.

    28. Peter G Turpen on May 4, 2013

The pic is from "Force of Arms", Rick is flying an Armored Veritech for the main battle

    29. Kevin S Is a Terrible Business Man on May 4, 2013

I may have to get the BF. The lil lady just told me I need to find a spot for all my new stuff. I'd rather get more models. Aaaarrrrgggghhhh!

Matt Trussell on May 4, 2013

Yay for more free pods! Officer pod ratio was getting pretty high, but now we can field bigger point forces without models having to sit out

    31. Steven Carroll on May 4, 2013

@ND/PB: 2 questions (others have also asked:

#1: Will the Bag be Kickstarter/Convention Exclusive or will we be able to buy them after this comes out to retail as well.

#2: Just to confirm, will the cards that get Laminated be "ALL" cards (Including Add-Ons), or just the Base Box Set?

    32. Robotek19 on May 4, 2013

@Eric: They are still working all that out. Tho the foam trays I imagine will be BF standard (15" x 12")

    33. Mark D on May 4, 2013

Is the Monster MK II going to fit in there?

    34. Robotek19 on May 4, 2013

@Todd: I asked the same thing yesterday they have mysteriously not answered that.

    35. John "Procrastinator General" Sisk on May 4, 2013

Maybe its the Armored Veritech? Remember in the show, Rick went out on patrol alone in the Armored Veritech?

What are the dimensions of the bag? Tried looking at Battle Foams website to figure it out myself but wasn't able to match it with anything.

    37. Tannlin on May 4, 2013

Ninja Division & Palladium - that bag is awesome! I have to find a way to get that bag.

    38. Alex Clarke on May 4, 2013

      Suuuuuppppeeeerrrrr vaaaalllkkkk

    39. brentil on May 4, 2013

Low blow, hit 2600 then back out...

    40. Stephen on May 4, 2013

Did it just get relocked? lol. Hope someone else decides to pledge within 15 days.

    41. Jazz on May 4, 2013

Oh, I'll have me one of those bags. I'll have me summa them free battlepods too.

...Is this a tease for the Super VT? Ooooohhh.

    42. RobotechX on May 4, 2013

Was just cleaning out a big Gun case that held a few guns and getting new foam to start cutting things up. Was going to carry and display at the cons I travel too.

    43. Todd Ferrullo on May 4, 2013

"Next up is laminate cards for the entire range! Once we reach 2800 backers all game cards will feature a laminate coating allowing you to use dry erase markers–no sleeves required!"

So does this mean that all add-on and bonus unit cards will be laminated as well?

    44. Grimoire Studios on May 4, 2013

@Foam Ninja I'll pledge for the foam thing once more information comes on it. It's almost a sure thing for me, but I wanna see what's up with it first :)

    45. 21stCenturyguy on May 4, 2013

Any chance of making the bag a sweeter deal as a stretch goal?

    46. Michael D'Auben on May 4, 2013

Great update! Now we get free support pods with more free regular loads incoming. That Battlefoam bag was a surprise but should be just what I need for my growing horde to be!

    47. Robert Nelson on May 4, 2013

Force of Arms its the super veritech!!

    48. Stephen on May 4, 2013

Is that when he was getting ready for the solo recon mission in the Armored Valkyrie during the Miss Macross contest? Or is this during Force of Arms when Minmei came in and they watched the Earth get destroyed together?

    49. Game Doctor on May 4, 2013

If this bag can hold showdown (or a bit more for all the stretch goals) I'm all in on this!
