I sincerely hope this doesn't result in another wasted year in silence and "waiting on quotes" only to end up back at square one.

Nobody cares anymore. This game is dead and it's not coming back, ever. If you even find it in a store it's on the clearance table or in the dusty area where games go to die.

Palladium has such a bad reputation regarding this game that no matter what they do, it won't make a difference to anyone except the most hardcore Robotech fans.

      Game over.

Ermagerd! You still post messages in this thing? I thought you had moved on, Kevin. I mean, honestly, aren't there Rifts stuff that needs attention? Trump is President, now! The years of false civility are at an end! Just say you screwed up, you're moving on, and all those snowflakes that gave you money can go melt in a corner. I mean, I was honestly shocked to see an update. I just am frustrated with every "update" being smoke and mirrors. Just letting this die, ignoring it, is better than the occasional reminder that you took my money and I have less than half of what I expected.

Another Smoke and Mirrors ™®© from The Big Cheese.

5 months of radio silence ® and not really an apology © and nothing of substance. Apparently it's coming at the end of 2017™ but reads like if the stars align and our super secret plans come together © it SHOULD be with you at the end of 2017™

More BS. Show us! Give us PROOF. Not that there is any!

Don't know why we bother you never read or reply when we do!

And why are people liking this not-update?

These books better be free as we aren't paying. Plus why support a game you basically nailguned at birth? There's no way back from this toxic pool you made!

At this point, what I want most is honesty. We all know there will never be a Wave Two. We all know you spent the campaign money on other things.

I'd just like to know what it was. Vacations? Cars? Hookers and blow? Rifts?

      No Proofs of anything.

@Kevin Siembieda: now that I've gotten a little snark out of my system, a few questions.

      1) What will Palladium do if they miss 2017? That is to say, you and PB in general have waxed at length about your certainty of delivery in 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, and now 2017. What are you willing to offer as proof that this is anything but more empty words? What are you willing to lay on the line to show good faith efforts are being made? To, frankly, prove this is more than just a contractual obligation that you think will keep backers at bay for another year?

      2) What can you tell us about the things that have *passed*. I get not wanting to unduly raise hopes, but the vagueness on things that are already written off is similarly frustrating. I have a hard time believing that the team are 'working like demons' and have for the last 4 years and change, and have little substantial (aside from a half dozen'ish Sprue Renders in 2015 and a similar'ish quantity of prototypes in 2016) to show for it. Wave 1 was roughly a dozen models (plus books, dice, templates, and whatnot) that went from Design to Production and Delivery in 1-2 years, but 2-3 years remains a questionable time for the remainder?

I'm sure more will come to mind, but for all my frustration expressed over this *nearly half decade*, it has always been a challenge to do better. To strive to actually meet if not exceed the lofty goals PB is known for setting (and bluntly, missing). We are all adults, treat us like adults. We are not hanging on every word teased out about the next 'genre defining book' PB is writing up, but I think coughing up an average of $300 US almost 4 years ago should count for something.

If so much is going on and in the wings and on the verge of happening, the TITLE of the project should never be longer than the 'information' provided in the Newsletter for multiple weeks out of a month, let alone in a quarter, let alone in a year.

Whiffle whaffle biffle baffle I am dedicated to making this a reality and by saying I am dedicated all better business bureau and kickstarter complaints are hereafter nullified. Again there are so many BIG PLANS but they are so BIG we can't share any salient details. Sound and fury signifying nothing.

"We are working on something exciting right now that, if it pans out, could change everything and help us bring you RRT Wave Two by the end of 2017."

      WHAT?!

What UNIVERSE is this an acceptable timeline for something promised YEARS ago?

Oh you have DREAMS for RRT? I have dreams of HAVING MY WAVE 2 REWARDS before I turn FOURTY.

This reality, production reality. Sometimes you have GOT to stick with what you have instead of switching to something better when you're already half done the process!

What absolute and complete LUNACY has taken over this project?!

At this point I don't even care. I literally forgot about this kickstarter and was happier for it. Tell you what - don't send out another update. If a package shows up at my door with stuff from you guys, cool. If it doesn't, just let me forget about you.
As I've said before I'll never buy one of your products or give you money in any way. This kickstarter was a sham and a bad joke.

Is it time for Palladium to lie to us again? Didn't realize it'd been a year again already.

If you guys read this - and I know you don't - can you just cancel the rest of my order? Keep my money. I don't give a shit. Just stop checking in with me every six months with these pathetic emails.

    19. Terence Lee on

How could this even be an update? He didn't tell us anything except that they're coming out with RPG books that they're planning to produce with our money and sell.

It's pathetic and deplorable that you're talking about MAYBE getting wave 2 out by the end of this year. You disgust me.

So you're giving all of us the books for free to make up for years of delays, right? Because otherwise, you're using a non-update to try to get us to buy stuff while you still have our money, which is scummy even for you.

I like how half the update is "I swear we're still working on it gaiz!" and the other half is shilling for shitty RPG books. Pathetic!
