A Trivial Visit to Yakima with Ken Jennings
Yakima has about 100,000 people, a non-trivial number, but there's some trivia there for a celebration of International Friendship Day, in the last holiday in the Year of Puzzles. Well, except for the big holiday we'll all have when you're able to save the world of puzzles from the nefarious plan of the Collective.
The trivia is courtesy of Ken Jennings of Jeopardy! fame. Ken won only 74 times on Jeopardy!, but he's got another winner here, with a trivia puzzle that shows both depth and cleverness. Although it's been ten years since Ken's Jeopardy! streak, he clearly hasn't lost his edge.
Puzzles in the Year of Puzzles always have a final answer, so Ken created five quizzes and added an extra layer to lead you to the final answer. There's a nice side effect. In many trivia quizzes, most people can only get a fraction of all the answers. That's one reason why trivia competitions have teams. Here, we think that most people will be able to finish the whole thing, assuming you don't stop once you know the final answer. And, of course, don't forget you can get a letter as a hint with the lightbulb menu.
If you're enjoying the Year of Puzzles, tell your friends. It isn't too late for them to get started. And, if you don't yet own the Year of Puzzles, you can buy it in the Puzzazz app or on our web site. If you like what we're doing, please rate us on the App Store. Thanks and happy puzzling!
