Happy Thanksgivukkah and Black Friday too!

Happy Thanksgivukkah!

If you don't know, today is both Thanksgiving and the first day of Hanukkah. It doesn't happen very often. in fact, it won't happen again for another 77,798 years or 57 years, depending on who you believe. In any event, it's a cause for celebration and there's a new puzzle in the Year of Puzzles to commemorate it.

So open up the Puzzazz app and check out Denver, 4:30 PM (that's roughly sundown today in Denver). If you're solving offline, visit as always. Of course, the puzzle's a bit unusual. For a little extra fun, see if you can guess its significance before you read the story.

But wait, there's more ...

Besides turkey and puzzles, there's another holiday tradition for Thanksgiving. It's the Black Friday sale, of course!

And we're celebrating it with a sale that starts today and runs through what's now called Cyber Monday (and, no, we really don't understand that name either). To start, you can get two free Logic Crossword books just for using the Puzzazz app on your iPad, iPhone, or iPod Touch anytime between now and Monday. That's a deal that's too good to pass up. If you have friends who don't yet own the Year of Puzzles, they'll get two coupons for free puzzle ebooks, each up to a $5 value, if they buy it this weekend. And, we've got a BOGO (that's buy-one-get-one-free) sale on every other puzzle ebook. Buy any other ebook and you'll get a coupon for a second book of the same or lesser value. Yes, we love you!

IMPORTANT: You must be using Puzzazz 3.0 or higher and signed into Puzzazz in order to get the free books and receive coupons. For complete details head on over to

But wait, there's even more ...

That same page on our site will you fill you in on some great holiday offers from other puzzling folks. Here's the short version:

Grabarchuk Puzzles has a lot of great apps that feature iOS versions of popular physical puzzles. Their LetsTans app is the best selling Tangram app ever. As they put it, they give you "a new experience of the captivating Tangram's spirit and energy." And they've put two versions of it, with tons of great puzzles, on sale this weekend for 67% off! If you have an iPad, check out LetsTans Premium with 1400 puzzles; if you have an iPhone or iPod Touch, check out LetsTans Deluxe with 1820 puzzles. Both are just $0.99 this weekend.

If you want some actual physical puzzles, our friend and fellow puzzle designer Pavel Curtis of Pavel's Puzzles has a deal for you! Pavel has a great selection of unique and interesting physical puzzles that you won't find anywhere else, and he's just released his annual Holiday Discount Puzzle, which looks fascinating. Solve the discount puzzle to get a special code good for a 10% discount on any of the fun mechanical puzzles listed on his website. You can use the code as many times as you like through the end of 2013! Get the puzzle at

Giving thanks

We are very thankful to have lots of great users like you. Every day, we get mail from customers telling us how much they enjoy using Puzzazz. Whether it's about the Year of Puzzles, puzzles from some of our world-class authors, or solving the New York Times daily crossword in Puzzazz, these words of thanks help drive us to do what we do. So, thank you so much for backing this Kickstarter campaign and being a part of Puzzazz.

As always, if you like what we're doing, we hope you'll consider giving us a 5-star rating and/or review in the App Store. If you don't think we've earned a 5-star rating, please drop us a line. We'd like to know what we can do to earn it in the future.

Thanks and Happy Thanksgivukkah!
