Some Movie Fun For You

Posted by Roy Leban (Creator)

We've just released the fourth puzzle in the Year of Puzzles, a visit to the Toronto International Film Festival and a picture-clued movie puzzle. And you'll learn just a bit more of who -- or what -- you're up against.

If you're solving in the Puzzazz app  on your iPad, iPhone, or iPod Touch, open up the Year of Puzzles and get solving. If you're solving on paper, head on over to the Year of Puzzles page on our web site and download the PDF file.

In other news, our iOS 7 release of the app will be coming out shortly, with some nice improvements. If you're not ready to upgrade to iOS 7 just yet (or you have an older device that won't support it), don't worry. We'll continue to support iOS 5.0.1 and above.

@Sean: The word stack is a fairly standard puzzle type and they always look like this. Our twist was the vague category and the picture clues. If we do another one, we'll think about what you said.

We owe Thinker and higher backers two "envelope" puzzles. One is ready to go. One isn't (the one we didn't know we were even doing until, literally, minutes before the campaign ended). And we have all the envelopes (big flat cardboard ones). We need to mail them together, so it will still be a little while. But it is in progress.

      A new puzzle! Yay!

Could I make a suggestion for it? I like the idea, but one thing that would make the design feel cleaner to me is if for a shared letter, it would fill out every row with that letter instead of vertically centering it. Otherwise, answers don't align straight across. It's a little harder to see where blanks are in the puzzle too. Just a suggestion.

Any update on the physical puzzles?

      Thanks!
      Sean
