A Magical, Puzzling Finish
We're here. The last regular puzzle in the Year of Puzzles. This one's set in Scranton and has a magical quality to it. We'll let you read the story to understand more.
As promised, this one is a cryptic crossword by Joshua Kosman and Henri Picciotto, the master cryptic crossword constructors for The Nation. This puzzle comes with two sets of clues, for beginners and experts. Use the one that lets you have more fun. If you're using the Puzzazz app, you can switch between the Beginner and Expert clue sets at any time, a feature unique to Puzzazz.
We know many of you are new to cryptic crosswords. We think you'll really enjoy them once you get to know them. The Beginner clues are one way to ease you in. Our Guide to Cryptics, available in the Puzzazz app and online at http://www.puzzazz.com/how-to/cryptic-crosswords is another way. Finally, the app includes great hint features designed specifically for cryptic clues, another Puzzazz-exclusive feature.
While we're on a cryptic roll, we just released the fourth collection of cryptic crosswords by Kosman and Picciotto, Out of Left Field #4, collected cryptic crosswords from The Nation. All of their books are highly recommended.
When you're done with this puzzle, your world travels are over for now. Head home, put your feet up on your favorite ottoman, coffee table, or derelict computer, and rest up for the meta puzzles to come.
