"Never retreat, retweet": #AskAiWeiwei, Friday morning

You'll all know Ai Weiwei's engagement with social media, keeping in touch with a community of artists, artlovers and activists the globe over.  Now, we're lucky enough to have a slot with the man himself – tomorrow – to answer questions from social media users tomorrow morning, UK time.  From 11am BST on Friday 11 September he'll be responding to your questions – just tweet @royalacademy using #AskAiWeiwei, or comment on this Kickstarter post to take part.  The earlier you ask, the easier it'll be for us to put the question to him; so, if there's something you'd like to know about the show, Tree, or any other element of his artistic, architectural or political practice, then put finger to keyboard right now...

And, as the man himself said: "Never retreat, retweet!"

Ps A whole bunch of rewards are being fulfilled over the coming 5-7 days – so do watch out!

Hi everyone, we're really sorry we didn't get to all your questions - we were deluged! However, good news - our curator Adrian Locke is doing a curator's Q&A on Twitter at 5.15pm BST today, so if you have any questions about the exhibiiton or 'Tree' in particular, do ask them on Twitter (at any time today) with the hashtag #AskaCurator and mention @royalacademy.

In other news, we are live-streaming tonight's event 'An Evening with Ai Weiwei' on YouTube - more info here: https://www.royalacademy.org.uk/event/an-evening-with-ai-weiwei

None of our questions here were not even asked at all. The Royal Academy of Arts should have just told us to ask our questions live on twitter. Or they won't be asked to Ai Weiwei, period.
