After long development by Roxley designer Orin Bishop, rules and technical wizard Michael Van Biesbrouck, and programmer Stefano Giugliano, we’re overjoyed to now be able to show you this sneak peek of the app in action! The app will have pass-and-play, online play, and Odyssey modes. The AI in is highly developed, can scale to different difficulty levels, and can play to the strengths and weaknesses of specific gods. Companion app features will include a rules reference, god randomizer, and match logging tools. More updates soon!

God Matchups & Achievements Survey

Who remembers this classic matchup?
Who remembers this classic matchup?

One of the features we’d like to include in the app is recommended matches! So if you have any particular matchups you think are really interesting, we’d love to hear about them. Additionally, we are collecting creative suggestions for god-specific Achievements (e.g. using the Minotaur, move an opposing worker up three levels). If you have any ideas, we’d love to have them HERE.

Santorini Facebook Community!

Our community group for Dice Throne has been a smash success, gathering over a thousand members to get news, talk strategy, discuss rules, connect with other players, and generally have fun with each other, so we’ve created a group for our awesome Santorini fans to do the same! We’d love to have you--join us HERE!

Keep rollin’ sixes!

@Zen L, we have a workaround for you, please email us at and I will be happy to help.

@Justin, thanks for the comment, I will pass it on to Orin!

    2. Justin

Please put your god/hero list in alphabetical order also you're missing gods. Looks like you're missing all your promos.

    3. Zen L

As much as I’d like the promos from the store, y’all don’t ship to Japan. I’m guessing we’re not part of the definition of “general public” out here :/

Now there’s talks of a new deluxe version with all the promos and maybe considering an upgrade pack?

C’mon y’all. There needs to be an upgrade pack. Especially if y’all want your previous backers to not feel jilted. And especially for folks like me who can’t get your promos any other way.

      Update all:

Orin really wants some more answers with the survey above, so we've decided to offer a prize to one of you who fills it out and leaves your email address! We'll email you in a week's time to discuss with you what game you should get! :)

All who have already filled it out will be entered automatically.

I agree with the rest. As a backer of the original game, I hope to be able to upgrade my copy.

    6. Graham

@Paul That's good to hear. Thanks for clearing that up.

    7. Bazz

I love my Santorini game so much and think its one of the best kickstarters i have backed, tht being said i will always give honest feedback.
I think no upgrade pack is going to be a bad move and feel like a slap in the face to the original backers. As much as i love the game i wont buy it again just to get the new components. I'm not a fan where games are released and then later comes the improved version and everyone who brought it the first time round feels like they have an inferior or incomplete product.

i 100% support you wanna improve the game and reach out to more people but at the same time you cannot do that at the cost of your original backers. I'm glad to hear your looking into this issue and have faith in the end we will all be happy and can continue to enjoy this amazing game :) Rant over

    8. Paul Saxberg of Roxley Games Collaborator on

@Graham, Roxley never wants to have content unavailable to the general public. Any and all new characters created for this version will also be added to the promo store.

    9. Graham

@Paul "It will also include all the existing promos and some new characters as well!"

    10. Paul Saxberg of Roxley Games Collaborator on

@Graham, no sir! These are available in the promo store right now.

@JazzFlight, this is in no way intended to replace or invalidate the original version. The print run for this will not compare to the original KS's print run in size - this is not intended to be the new standard for Santorini. (The Spin Master version is the standard, so your KS Roxley version already has several features it does not.)

@Vince Lima, this is mostly due to popular demand from people who can't currently get the KS version because it's too valuable. A travel version may be possible in the future for the same reason - so thank you for adding your request to the list!

      Vince Lima on

I was hoping for a travel version. Why another tabletop version?

    12. JazzFlight

It's kind of a bad look, especially as you're promoting the Dice Throne 2nd Season, which also revamps/invalidates the style/value of the original campaign's product. Come on guys, respect your original backers first.

    13. Graham

So we will have to buy the whole game again to get the new characters? Not feeling great about this announcement right now sadly.

    14. Paul Saxberg of Roxley Games Collaborator on

@James Mathias, no, your current printing is fine, you won't need to replace it.

@Everybody - We're listening. I personally had no idea so many people would be looking for an upgrade kit. I will follow up with the Director and we will see whether or not this is something that is feasible... it will depend on how many of the features we are hoping for that we are able to add, and which ones. One potential problem is that with production and shipping, it may end up being very close to the cost of a complete game, which is why we initially did not have this on our radar.

But we aim to listen to our community, always. So if this is something we need to explore, we will explore it.

    15. Zach Haugen - Merchant Guild of Valoria on

Wait, you're going to do a deluxe edition with new content and not do an upgrade pack? I guess I won't back your kickstarters again; I'll just wait until retail and see if the game is worth it. Bad move, Roxley Games.

      Patrik Vågehed on

I'm like everyone else here it seems.. if you do another Kickstarter give us a upgrade options. All other things feels kinda neglecting to your backers, specially announcing it here.

    17. Justin

Hopefully there's still something for us Zeus backers. I love my already deluxified edition.

    18. James Mathias on

So in order to get the correct printing of Tyche, I have to reorder her and Scylla?

    19. Kickstarter Bad on

As voiced already...I hope there will be some kind of upgrade kit form kickstarter to deluxe edition.
Because otherwise, you'll make alot of backers feel just like a normal person who paid premium and helped your game off the ground without anything special and could have waited for this 'deluxe' edition.

    20. JazzFlight

Who exactly asked for a Deluxe version of the game? The one we got was pretty "deluxe" already. Why not sell an upgrade kit or expansion instead of making us feel like we're missing out on content we can't get without buying the whole game again? A huge amount of backers here would insta-back an expansion campaign.

    21. C3

      1) don't be coy, just tell us how type changed. I don't have access to her card arm so I can't see in its worth me replacing her.
      2) upgrade option or telling us backers is just rubbing our faces in it.

    22. Rian Turner on

      What Robert said +1

    23. Paul Saxberg of Roxley Games Collaborator on

      Hi Robert,

Neither of those are currently on the radar, but we do appreciate your feedback. If we get suggestions we are still able to implement we will take a serious look at them.

I see you're in Calgary - come say hi to us at Otafest or the Calgary Expo! Would love to chat more and maybe have a game! :)

    24. Robert Silvester on

Will there be an option to upgrade our existing copies to this new deluxe edition (buying only the new components in a no-frills shipping box) at a reduced price?

Hoping that one of the improved components is the workers. My one complaint with Santorini is that those figures should be nearly twice as large as they are.

The Link to the Promo Store isn’t working.

    26. Paul Saxberg of Roxley Games Collaborator on

      Hi Eisa,

While exact details have not been finalized, we do not intend for the Deluxe edition to include all of the Zeus upgrades. Some of those will remain exclusive to Zeus backers.

(If your question was referring to promos, there are Zeus editions of them available in the promo store.)

    27. Missing avatar

And for the Zues backers of Santorini?

    28. Matt L. on

Re:Deluxe - just give me the damned pre-order button already.

    29. Paul Saxberg of Roxley Games Collaborator on

@Pachro, we are planning a large print run, but we also expect it to be very popular.

@Timo, which link do you mean?

@Cole - we have some great features planned! Can't wait to update you with more specifics :)

    30. Cole Feeser on

Deluxe edition you say? Will it be more deluxe than what we got when we backed this Kickstarter?

    31. Timo Honold

      Is the link broken?
      It doesn't work for me...

    32. Pachro on

The app is looking interesting! Will there be a limited number of the deluxe Santorini copies available?
