Frequently Asked Questions
No problem! Here's a quick overview:
For both the 200 and 400 count sets, these ship with a standard distribution of chip denominations (the ones in the pictures on the main campaign page).
For those of you who have supported us in the past, and don't want to have to buy chips you already have a second time, we're giving you the option of having these shipped partially full, containing ONLY the denominations you need to fill out the standard set; you will then add chips from your own sets or games to fill in the empty slots.
For some off these Upgrade Paths, this will result in you having some chips left over.
You can still add on additional sleeves, Iron Spades, complete sets, or the BYOB option for these (add it all together for your pledge; we will confirm all of your choices in the pledge manager).
Here's the latest chart, with all the numbers on it:
Additionally, backer Michel Billard has coded an unofficial tool to help you calculate costs, denominations, and leftover chips. You can find it here:
DISCLAIMER: While we have every confidence in Michel's skills (in fact, we're amazed by them), Team Roxley has not had time to examine and verify the information in this program. Final numbers for your pledge will be calculated in the pledge manager after the campaign; so we must officially recommend that if you use this tool, you use it as an estimator, rather than as a guarantee of what final costs or chip amounts will be.Last updated:
The perfect solution is to just add the prices of what you would like to pledge, and pledge for that amount. In the pledge manager after the campaign, you will specify which products you wanted in more detail.
(Preorders will be available after the campaign as well to order additional items, but adding it to your pledge now guarantees you campaign pricing and priority in the event of limited stock quantities.)Last updated:
We will allow preorders after the campaign, but we cannot guarantee the same price levels or flexibility of options. Additionally, we are kicking in a shipping subsidy for pledges placed during the campaign; we will not be able to offer this for orders placed later.
To lock in campaign pricing and selection, select the "Upgrades & Add-ons" pledge. (Shipping prices remain subject to change, but will very likely increase for preorder backers.)Last updated:
Roxley believes in supporting brick-and-mortar stores, so we are offering retailer pledges to allow your store to purchase sets of Iron Clays 100 (Printed Box), Iron Clays 200 (Printed Box), or Iron Spades. Cartons of each will be made available to FLGS backers to purchase through Backerkit after the campaign concludes.
To Join as an FLGS backer, simply back this campaign for $1 with "no reward selected" and fill out this form:
We cannot offer this as a standard pledge level, as the boxes are handmade, limited edition items. Depending on pledge numbers, we may be able to offer a limited number of them in the pledge manager after the campaign at a premium; we are looking into it.Last updated:
We deeply regret this. But the unfortunate reality is that over the last three campaigns Roxley has fulfilled (Brass, Dice Throne, and Santorini), we have run into too many logistical problems in some areas - tracking issues, extreme delays, customs snafus, and damaged shipments. Fully two thirds of our customers in Brazil had their pledges turned away at the border, for reasons that have never been 100% explained to us. And any time customers in these zones have needed support after the fact, due to missing, damaged, or defective games or parts, they've had to wait weeks to receive something from Canada or the USA.
Roxley aspires to give all of our backers excellent customer service, and it has been impossible to give that to backers in these zones, which we feel is insulting to people who are not only supporting us and making what we do possible, but are paying exorbitant shipping costs to do so.
We continue to seek solutions for these problems, and thank you for your patience and understanding.
(One possible exception is if you use a freight forwarder that has an address in a country we can deliver to.)Last updated:
In response to community requests, we were able to add the 50 as an additional denomination. Unfortunately, it's unlikely that we will be able to add any more during this campaign. We know there's demand for others - 2, 3, 25, and 1000 are common requests - and we like knowing your preferences on these; but at this stage, please assume that feedback will be used to inform potential future campaigns, rather than this one.Last updated:
They do, but these costs are not finalized yet, partly because we want to be able to reduce your shipping if you order multiple pledges or add-ons. All shipping will be finalized and charged in the pledge manager.Last updated:
We anticipated this concern, and we've been planning for it from the beginning. Dedicated shippers are being constructed specifically for the wooden boxes; they will be extremely well protected (this has a side benefit of speeding up processing a bit when the fulfillment centers receive their shipments).
In the unlikely event that yours arrives with damage of some kind, please document this with a picture of the issue and the packaging, and contact us with those. We want you to be happy with what you have ordered, and we will work with you to find the best solution for you.Last updated:
Good news - you don't need to!
Kickstarter versions of Brass can already be ordered directly from roxley.com. Brass: Lancashire is in stock in most areas; Birmingham stock is on the way and is expected in August/September of this year.Last updated:
