The famous industrial revolution strategy boardgame by Martin Wallace and a finely brewed sequel, Brass: Birmingham
13,699 backers pledged CA$ 1,718,708 to help bring this project to life.

STATUS REPORT – 2018.07.11 – We are 98% Fulfilled. Postcards shipping this month.

Posted by Gavan Brown of Roxley Games (Creator)

TL;DR – Fulfillment is 98% complete. Martin Wallace signed postcards are being shipped this month. Iron Clays and remaining KS editions available soon.

About 200 backers remain to be shipped in the EU, out of over 15,000 total pledges that were placed. This is about 1.5% of the total. Don’t worry, if you are one of those 1.5% - at the current rate of fulfillment you should have your tracking within the next 2 business days.

There's a problem with my game or delivery!

For damaged or missing components, please use the form below:

For delivery issues, please email us at Note that we are still getting a very high volume of email. We are doing our best to respond to all messages within 72 hours.

Can I order more Deluxe games or Iron Clays?

We will not release any more games until the last backer pledge is confirmed to be shipped.

We are anticipating that in the North America and EU zones, we will be able to sell remaining Deluxe versions directly on later this month. We are hoping to have copies later this year at PAX Unplugged and Essen Spiel; we will confirm these when we can. We have not yet confirmed whether we will have any in Australia/NZ. Unfortunately, we are not projected to have any remaining in the China / Rest of World markets.

Deluxe versions will not go to retail stores unless the retailer was a pledger.

Retail versions of Brass: Lancashire will be in game stores later this month. Brass: Birmingham will be available in September.

100 chip boxes of Iron Clays will be in retail stores and on later this month. (30 chip fillout sets are no longer available.)

Later in 2018, we will be announcing details of a Kickstarter for an increased set of Iron Clays, with more chips and higher denominations (compatible with 18xx games)!

Martin Wallace Post Cards

For those who added these in BackerKit, these did not ship with your game because prior to Gen Con, Martin hadn't signed them yet. These are being mailed later this month (If you ordered one and you have changed your address since you got your pledge, please email us at and let us know).

As always, if you have any questions, please email

@Nina, postcards have begun shipping. They are being mailed from Canada so depending on your location they may still take 1-4 weeks.

@Brazilian backers - thank you all for reporting this. We are aware of the issue and working with VFI and local partners to come back to you with some good options, we will update all of you soon.

Thank you - have a great day!

      Hi Roxley Team,

I am in the same situation as many Brazilian bakers. My order arrived but got recused due to some custom issue. It seems the package will be send back to its origin.

I know you guys are already aware of this problem, so please let us know when you have any official position about it and if we can help somehow here.

      Dear Team Roxley,

As you probably know, the Brazilian bakers are having serious problems with customs. I saw friends and some people in the Facebook Brazilian boardgame community having the same issue I just got. Today the tracking info of my Brass copy informed that my package was unauthorized by customs, and will be send back to the sender.

I'm very sad with this, it was my first Kickstarter, but I know that Roxley did an amazing job until know, giving us a constant feedback. I don't have any idea of what can be done to solve this, but have hope that you guys will do your best.

Please, as soon as possible give me news about what is happening and if there is any solution in progress. Also, I'll help in any way I can, so contact me any time.

Waiting news, and thanks in advance!

    4. Nina Fleischer

Hello! What about the postcards? Can we expect them anytime soon?
      Kind regards Nina

    5. Paul Saxberg of Roxley Games Collaborator on

@frotes, I have sent you an email.

    6. frotes on

I emailed about a dent on my brim box after opening it. It’s been almost a week and I haven’t received any response

Is that the correct place to send this kind of inquiry?

    7. Paul Saxberg of Roxley Games Collaborator on

Matthew, I've looked into this, there should be an email in your inbox now. We're going to help!

    8. Matthew Hawkins

      Please help!

    9. Matthew Hawkins

@Paul, Happyshops aren't doing enough to help me locate the package containing my Brass Birmingham and 2x100 Iron Clays. I know you have been at an expo over the weekend, but I've sent you an email and I would appreciate your intervention as soon as possible. It's rapidly approaching a month since I should have received Brass, and given how expensive the game and clays were I'm anxious to resolve this ASAP. Many thanks for anything you can do.

    10. Pauli Vinni on

Heh! It definitely looks better with all spaces used :)
Now... what to do to those few extrass ;)

    11. Thomas on

One fillout still costs 33C$ including shipping for EU backers, two are 66C$.

I‘m glad I still got the chance to buy them, the empty spaces in the trays buged me more than I care to admit.... 😂

    12. Paul Saxberg of Roxley Games Collaborator on

@Matthew, you will still be able to get them, yes. We will get to your email shortly!

    13. Matthew Hawkins

Hi, I’ve emailed and Happyshops about a possible lost delivery. I’m anxious to get hold of the game and my clays given that it’s making its way into UK stores now and I’ve been waiting a long time for this! If DHL have lost my Birmingham copy alongside my clays, will I be unable to get hold of a deluxe copy? Many thanks for your help, Matt

    14. Pauli Vinni on

During the KS the one fillout did cost about 33$ so most likely a Little bit more now.

    15. Thomas on

@Paul Saxberg: If the chip fillouts would become available for EU backers, do you already have an idea about the price for one box?

    16. Pauli Vinni on

I did get my delicery today... did I win ;)
      Well not likely...

The game is very good looking! Have to ink those barrells though to get them brown, but very nice indeed!

    17. Paul Saxberg of Roxley Games Collaborator on

More Iron Clays can now be ordered at the Preorder link above on this page.

We are out of 30 chip fillouts, unfortunately. (We may be able to arrange an exception for EU based backers, please email us at if you are one and want one or two of these.)

    18. François Barrette

      ... not 300... but 30 fillout...
(why can't we edit in KS...)

    19. François Barrette

Iron Clays... ADD me in please. I pledged for both games and the 300 fillout in the exclusive box. I took iron clays from Landcashire to complete the nice box set of 100 and took the iron clays from Birgmingham to put them with the Landcashire ones. Now, I have one empty plastic tray. I would also like to buy clays again... I just found out I have OCD too...

    20. Paul Saxberg of Roxley Games Collaborator on

@Eduardo, I would love to speak with you directly about this, as I said before, we are not happy about the experience you have had here.

Can you please message me personally at I have a few different Eduardos on my list in Spain, and I don't know which one is you.

    21. Eduardo on

I just wanted to know how I can unsubscribe from your emails so that you don't send me any more. Sending my game to my address has been a negative adventure. First without a track, then with a track that doesn't update, DHL doing what it wants, and finally, with a 24h person at home, it turns out that they tell me that they've stopped by and that they're returning it to the agency because there was no one....they don't tell me which agency. DHL is a great agency (irony off). Well then, if you're happy about your games, I'd be happier if that happiness didn't bother me anymore.

@Gavin John, messaging you directly, check your email.

    23. Gavin John on

      Hey Team Roxley,

I've recently moved and haven't received my game yet. I'm getting a tad worried that my mail forwarding hasn't worked and that it's been sent back to you. Is there a way one of you are able to confirm what address it's been sent to or who I should contact to confirm this?

      Looking forward to playing this!

    24. Pauli Vinni on

      Rodney did make updated version…

The old was removed because of that reason. Best how to play so far. Have seen some and Many forget that They try to teach the game Brass newbies! Rodney do everything for the dummies Style aka really well! Every step is done with actually showing how it is done. Very good video indeed.

    25. Marek Vincenc

Received my games last night and wow guys. I am super impressed with the care you took in shipping and the decisions you made to make the game fit for transit.

As suspected, I would definitely like fill-out sets for both my games.

Also... on the back of the iron clays box, you say they’re “duel” moulded, is that er intentional?

    26. Jesper Rülf Edmark on

Finally my copy arrived (in spite of the Swedish postal agency delaying the process by another day). Always nice to be in the 2% I guess... 😊

    27. Eric Hamel on

I think the watch it played video was pulled from YouTube.

"I would be in for 2 of the 22-chip fill out sets--1 for each game. To keep cost and complexity down it would be great to have them not come in a tray and box (assuming the 30-chip fill out sets did, in which cast that's crazy)."
      + 1 on this

    30. MentatYP

      cast -> case

    31. MentatYP

I would be in for 2 of the 22-chip fill out sets--1 for each game. To keep cost and complexity down it would be great to have them not come in a tray and box (assuming the 30-chip fill out sets did, in which cast that's crazy).

I would also be in for at least one of the new full sets depending on denominations and chip count.

      Szilard Leitner on

+1 on the fill out sets!

    33. Paul Saxberg of Roxley Games Collaborator on

Thanks all for your confirmations and comments.

@All who requested 30 (or 22) chip fillouts - I don't believe these are currently planned for the Iron Clays Kickstarter, but we are listening and keeping an eye on how many people have asked, so thank you for filling out the picture for us. I can't promise anything but we will alert you if these become available again.

    34. Rafaël Theunis on

I finally got my boxes and got to play both versions already. It all looks absolutely amazing , the materials are not as dark as I feared it would be. The production values are fantastic, the artwork is stunning, the rulebooks are some of the best I have ever seen, the attention to detail is really next level... you guys should be really proud of your hard work. These will be gems in my collection, sure to be played for MANY years to come. Hugs from Belgium!

    35. Simon on

+1 on the fill out sets. I didn't think it would be necessary (especially for the price) but after seeing the finished product I really want to fill out those empty slots. This game is too pretty to leave incomplete!

    36. Missing avatar

      Geert Dijkstra on

+1 on requesting a 30 chip fill out option to be available in the next campaign. Would that be possible? I don't know why I didn't order the fill out sets. I did order 100 extras, but not the fill out. Probably had something to do with pricing or shipping. However now I hate to see those empty spaces in the trays! :)

    37. William Bekkema on

Also intrested in one of the 30 chips fillout set. I've already got the 2x100 iron Clays addon, but filling the empty space in the boxes should be nice! Or can you make them available again in the iron Clays KS?

      Rodrigo Saito on

just received my copy of the game and... my god!!!! top quality!!! thank you

    39. Pauli Vinni on

Heh! I should not try lottery for a while. Also among those 200 I supose. No worry.
So expected to see tracking maybe in the next week. Is there special prize for the Person who get this last ;)
But as I have been saying before, this has been very good KS! Enough information and very good components from what I have seen from videos!
Really waiting for the iron Clay KS after this one is ower. Nice looking Gaming bling is always appreciated.

    40. Shaun Newman

Mine arrived in the UK yesterday pristine condition and way better than I had imagined. The boxes just pop beautifully with that gold inlay, and those iron clays! So glad I ordered extra sets.
Well done team Roxley it was totally worth the wait.

1.5% represent. Really would have expected to get Brass first of the 4 KS that fulfilled the last weeks based on respective previous status, but how the tables have turned :) but i have no time to play it right now anyways, so i can wait a few more days.

    43. LInsoDeTeh

I am one of the 1.5% obviously :-( Let's hope the games arrive soon.

      Noel Dillabough

Btw, since the games come with 78 chips, I'd be very happy with simply 22 rather than 30 "fill out chips" (2 x 5, 10 x 20 and 10 x 100). No need to put em in a fancy box or anything either.

    45. Missing avatar

      Noel Dillabough

Have to say I'm super impressed with the games, fantastic production! +1 for a fill out set (I didn't realize I'd need two, I just ordered the one...and the spaces in the tray irk my OCD lol)

Looking forward to the higher denomination clays kickstarter too!

    46. Aldrin on

+1 on chip fill out sets. Hopefully they can be offered in the campaign dedicated to the poker chips!

    47. Marek Vincenc

Another +1 on the fill-out sets; at the time I finalized my pledge I didn't really understand how the in-game clays, extra box of clays, and the fill-out set were implemented. In the end I bought an extra box of clays, but I strongly suspect that when I receive my game I'll find a space within sorely lacking a little something.

As for the delay, I'm just happy we're going to receive a top-notch product and I'm satisfied with the level of communication at all stages. I believe my tracking notice arrived today or yesterday, so expecting arrival soon!

    48. CowTippa on

I can't believe the 30 chip fill outs came in extra boxes and poker trays.

You guys hit it out of the park with quality and over delivering.

    49. Wayne Kruger on

+1 on the 30 chip fill outs so wish I bought two. Maybe once everyone has the games you could do a poll to see how many people might want them and if there is enough demand add them as an addon to the clay kickstarter or something like that.

    50. Benjamin Keightley on

Got mine last week. Beautiful production, better than my high expectations. Congratulations on a huge job very well done!!
