The question we get asked the most! For everyone who comes to the cafe and wants to utilize games from our library, there's a $5 library fee; there's no time limit, no number of game limits. If you want to bring your own game to play on our tables, that's absolutely welcome, but there is a 2 beverage minimum per table.
We will be open Tuesday through Thursday, open from 4pm until 10pm, Friday 4pm - 11pm, and Saturday and Sunday 10:30am - 11:00pm. The cafe will be closed Mondays. Based on how busy the cafe gets, these hours may be adjusted in the future and we will let everyone know of the changes.
We know how this can be, game's not done but the doors are set to close in 15 minutes! This is purely going to be a situational thing, and we take all circumstances in consideration. How much longer will the game take to finish? When did the game start? (If you start a game 5 minutes before closing and it will take 2 hours to finish, it's unlikely we will remain open to finish) Are there other players in the cafe in a similar situation? We want everyone to enjoy their games and not feel rushed, but we have to balance the lives of our employees too. We're confident a reasonable equilibrium will be found taking everything into consideration. TL;DR: we're flexible within reason :)
(the most clinical response we will ever give!)
As of right now we have the following membership options:
- 1-month membership $20 - access to the library for the duration of the month beginning the start date of the purchase of the membership
- 6-month membership $50 - access to the library for the duration of the 6-month period beginning the start date of the purchase of the membership; can bring a guest once a month to the cafe at no additional charge
Family memberships are available with a $5 per family member additional cost to the above memberships (e.g. family of 4 membership for 6 months would be $75), allowing individuals in the same family to access the library. If there are family members below 13, a parent/responsible guardian is suggested to accompany the minor. These are not transferrable.
While this is something we have given a lot of thought to, at this time we won't be offering a lifetime membership. Fiscally it is impractical at this point, and depending on capacity in the future may prohibit new folks from experiencing the cafe. It's something we would love to do, but for the foreseeable future not part of our initial offering.
