We did it! We made it! We're counting down the minutes as we celebrate the incredible success of this campaign, so make sure you come and join us on our livestream!
The last thirty days have been amazing, and when we set off on this adventure we never expected that this is where we'd end up. Over the last few weeks, you have donated close to $400,000 to fund the development of Awesomenauts: Starstorm! In the upcoming months, we'll be working on many new features, including the infinite spectator mode, an expansive replays feature, 4 all-new Awesomenauts, a new map, new announcers, and custom games. Thank you so much for all your support, you've really helped us bring Awesomenauts to a whole new level!
It might take a while for us to roll all of these new features out, but we'll be sharing our progress and will let you know what's going on as we go about our business. This might be the last update to be posted during the campaign, but I'll continue to send out updates regularly! You can also keep messaging, commenting, or mailing me at firstname.lastname@example.org... so let's keep in touch!
With the stream kicking off, it's also time to reveal the surprise skin we promised last Wednesday. Behold, the epicness that is Digital G!
This skin is currently in development and will be released to all backers. It won't be a premium backer-exclusive skin like Ghost Leon or Cyber Coco, but it's just a little extra gift we'd like to send your way for being awesome! Also, we wub joo.
As we count down the minutes to the glorious end of our campaign, let's also take a moment to look towards the future. We've already started development on Ted McPain, and will be working on the new 'Nauts one at a time after that. The Beta for McPain will probably launch some time next month, and a public launch for him seems likely some time early November. It has usually takes about two months to release each new character, and we'll try to stick to that schedule. We'll also start working on all of the new features, and each of those will take a significant while as well. We haven't made a definitive production schedule for that, and we'll be crunching some numbers in the coming weeks to come up with a rough release window for each feature. I'll share that in a future update.
While the campaign is closing here on Kickstarter, we'll continue to take pledges on our own website. If you haven't had a chance to back for whatever reason, you can head over to Awesomenauts.com/Kickstarter and make a contribution to the Starstorm effort. Do note that the tiers above Silver will no longer be available after today, so if you've been looking to get one of those tiers you need to be super quick! Also, if you pick up the Silver tier on our own site after today, you also won't be getting the poster. Backers that have already pledged will still be receiving that reward, of course!
All funds raised there will continue to count towards the grand total, so even though we've fallen just short of the Fifth 'Naut stretchgoal, it might still happen! This Paypal option will remain open for a short while, probably a couple of days or maybe a few weeks - so don't put it off forever!
And with that, I think we've come to the end of this update. I'm gonna head over to party with the other guys here, and I hope to see you on the stream over the next couple of hours.
From everybody here at Ronimo, thank you for the tremendous amounts of support that you have shown us over the last couple of weeks. Awesomenauts launched more than a year ago, but to us, it feels like we're only just getting started!
See you amongst the stars!
