'How the People Trumped Ronald Plump' is a story written by Brian and Ed Krassenstein, with illustrations done by the uniquely talented Benny Rahdiana. If you have children and you believe in teaching them that we are all equal and that we all deserve a chance, no matter where we come from, what we believe in or what the color of our skin may be, then President Trump may seem like a roadblock in teaching our children these lessons. Both of us have young children and we want them to grow up in a world free of hate, bigotry, and immoral behavior. Although we realize that this unfortunately is an unlikely future, the President of the United States should be working in our favor, and not against us as parents!
We've decided to write this 40+ page rhyming children's book in an effort to try and explain some of Trump's irrational and immoral behavior to our children and America's children in a way that promotes strong morals, inclusion, equality, love and selflessness. We've written and illustrated this book so that adults can also enjoy the story as well as the illustrations. We want this book to not only be your child's favorite story to read night after night, but we also want you to enjoy reading it as well. This is why we've included valuable, yet entertaining lessons for the kids, while providing illustrated humor for adults who are more literate in the American political spectrum. (For Ages 2 to 102)

What Will the Book Look Like?
We have worked and continue to work tirelessly with our illustrator Benny Rahdiana in presenting this story in a way that is interesting, entertaining and educational. This book is so important to us, and as you can see, we have put our hearts and souls into every inch of each page. The book will be of the utmost quality, printed as a glossy hardcover version only. The final version will measure 10 inches tall X 10 inches wide and the story is told in approximately 1,000 words. Below are a handful of pages from the beginning of the book. This is just a small part of the 40+ pages which will ultimately make up this final version of this wonderful story:

Are you Sure This Book is For Me and My Kids?
Even if you are a life-long Republican who thinks Donald Trump is the greatest thing since bacon wrapped bacon, this story will still be a great gift for your children. During the whole writing and illustration process, we made, and continue to make sure that the story teaches our children solid morals without demonizing the main character, Ronald Plump, or getting too political. In writing this book, we wanted to teach morals and empathy rather than the politics of division.
Ed and I are identical twin brothers. We are incredibly close and so are our little families. Our wives are best friends, our kids play together and we live five houses down from one another. My wife and I welcomed an adorable little boy into this world almost a year ago, and Eddie has two children also -- a 4 year old son and a 7 month old son. We've never written a children's book before, but now is a better time than ever to start. Thank you all so much for helping us try and achieve our goal.
Risks and challenges
Our goal here is to present a book that's affordable to all, while making sure we do not find ourselves caught up in budget constraints during the publishing side of the project. This is why we have set our goal at $25,000. This is to ensure that there will not be any need for unforeseen cut-backs, and that the book will be delivered on time or as close to schedule as possible. Our biggest challenge will be making sure that the quality of this book meets our own personal standards and the standards of all the young readers who we hope will enjoy it in the near future.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
