"I didn't know I needed this until I saw it." That's what we hear time and time again when guys are first exposed to their new favorite outfit, the RompSuit. We wanted to create something that would be the first pick out of your closet for date night, weekend hangouts, maybe even casual Friday. Because every guy needs a statement piece.
Remember back in May when no one could stop talking about male rompers? Yep, that was us. We launched the RompHim on Kickstarter to be your favorite summer outfit; since then we've dropped a second run of rompers, shipped over 5,000 units, and given many guys the opportunity to express themselves through fashion in a way they weren't able to before.
We don't expect everyone to have worn a full-body garment like the RompSuit before, so we took a new approach to sizing, providing two sets of measurements.
First, check out the "wearer" measurements. These will give you a good idea of which size of RompSuit will fit you given your height and the waist size of your favorite pair of pants.
Next, check out the garment measurements. You can match these up against the specs of any shirts/pants that you normally wear to get an idea of how the RompSuit will likely fit on your body.
And if you have any doubts about sizing, you can always shoot us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
When we launched RompHim, it was because we wanted to bring something new to men's fashion. The four co-founders met at grad school in Chicago and banded together to try to change the game: button-downs and khakis have their place, but menswear should be fun too. As we've grown, we've continued to ask ourselves what we can do to disrupt fashion stereotypes, break down existing norms, and create clothing that guys love wearing. You're not ordinary - why would you dress like it?
We want to make sure all our customers look and feel their best, which is why we'll be allowing U.S. returns and exchanges for the RompSuit. If this is a holiday gift this should give you the comfort and flexibility to gift while knowing that if the sizing you choose is off, it can be fixed. However, due to the logistical difficulties involved, all international sales via Kickstarter will be final, meaning no returns. More details on returns and exchanges is available in our FAQ.
Risks and challenges
We learned a lot from our first Kickstarter, and we feel very confident about delivering a great customer experience. We have lined up production at a top-notch factory, pre-bought fabric, and have a fulfillment plan in place. We are also committed to providing updates throughout the production process, especially if anything arises that would jeopardize our delivery date.
Though we're confident in hitting our delivery dates, the biggest risks would be:
1) Huge demand for a certain size/style means when it gets to your Tier to choose, the product you want isn't available; if that's the case we'll offer full refunds
2) Any catastrophic event at our manufacturer that could cause a production delay (e.g. machines break down, building catches on fire, etc.)
Suffice it to say, we feel like we're well-positioned to deliver a great experience for our customers!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
