Getting in touch and looking forward.

Posted by Rogue Heroes Publishing (Creator)

Hello Everyone

I just wanted to touch base with you about my plans for the Rifts Board Game and direct you to the Facebook page where you will be able to keep in touch with our progress.

I am busy addressing the concerns that cropped up during this Kickstarter. I am updating the character cards, rethinking the board and getting more miniature sculpts finished, etc. I plan on taking all the time necessary to make the best Rifts Board Game possible. This may take some time, but I believe it will be worth the effort. I will return to Kickstarter only after I have everything ready to go.

I will do my best to ensure that the game is ready for a relaunch in good time, but I will not rush things this time around. This means that it will take a while for me to return to Kickstarter. Until then, keep in touch with me on the Facebook page, where I can run ideas past you guys and get useful feedback. See you all there!

Thanks for your time and interest

Were you watching that ship that just sailed over the horizon and into the sunset? That's was this game... Never gonna happen which fine, Rifts is dead.

      Attend to details.
      Manage your own message.
Think of what attracted people to Rifts and try to capture that feeling.
There was some measure of glee in firing an MDC weapon through an SDC environment.
I was just looking at the latest Zombicide Kickstarter, please look at that.
I am incredibly excited about that offering that this one seemed to miss the mark.
I would request a multipart Coalition sprue so a variety of troops can be made, I suspect that would pay dividends (head/legs/chest/arms/weapon-swap).
Maybe for the more "officer" models and then a variety of mono-pose standard coalition "storm-troopers": cheerful and plentiful.
Are you sure you would not want to ensure the scale matches many out there so there is opportunity to add other D-Bee critters?

Just make sure you get rid of Andrew Cooke and get someone who actually has professional people/public relations skills and who doesn't break Wheaton's rule

+1 on the color rule book. And Cheapass Games is just that. Raise the bar and reach out to us via KS updates and Facebook if you need help.

FWIW, I'm looking forward to painting some Rifts minis. Have your sculptors make them very well, please!

      Good to hear Carmen.

Sounds good. I'm not one to follow companies on Facebook, so I'll just wait until later on that.

... and publish the rulebook, and have preview videos ready.

Also, black and white rulebook flew back in the 90s. Not anymore. Not for a board game. Only Cheapass games gets away with it.

Thank you for updating us, Carmen. Send out another update when you relaunch, please!

Sounds good. I'll be back. Please blind playtest and send out to well known reviewers, too. Good luck!

So how much did Uncle Kev charge you to extend the license? Did he let you keep your house?

Sounds good Carmen! I was critical of certain decisions in the campaign, but do with you and this project success. Thanks for being open to feedback!

Good call all around Carmen. Take your time improving things, as I think we all want to see the game done right. Remember the old Shigeru Miyamoto quote, "A delayed game is eventually good, but a rushed game is forever bad".
