Risks and challenges
The risks are plenty and that scares me a lot, honestly. This is my very first Kickstarter project, and the thought of putting my work out there to be judged, critiqued and pondered over is scary as hell. However, as the comic is mostly completed we are only looking funds to print the final comic, so we aren't asking for a lot. The entirety of the money we earn will be going to printing the book and funding the other rewards. If we make any extra, we can discuss that when the times comes!
I have worked on a lot of comics over the past year, building up my reputation as a creator. I've worked on books for Markosia, Future Quake Press and Gray Haven Press, as well as independent anthologies. I also developed my own webcomic and podcast (which you can find here - http://www.thenightterrorspodcast.com/)
Every project has a risks, challenges and creative roadblocks, but I feel we've been conservative with how much money we're asking for and I've been open and honest with the project as you can see on our Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/TalesOfTheFracturedMind). Really, I want to create work that says something and means something. All the stories here are from my heart. Tales Of The Fractured Mind has a message and I feel that it's more than just the work of Rolands and I, it's its own thing. It could evolve into a yearly anthology and gain support from charities. It's a message about mental health and awareness, that we want to put out there in the world. At it's core, it's a comic about human stories.
Thanks for reading and if you look at this page, think about the comic or back it, truly, thank you.
