Has anyone received their Rocki Play x2 as replacements for not being able to get the Play+?
I'm extremely doubtful at this point but I thought I'd check.
Looks like Nick Yap, one of the founders of this failed project is now back on Indiegogo shilling a new product. Backers beware!
@Ed Wong - yeah, I haven't gotten anything else communication wise.
I will keep checking this project along with 3-4 others that have crashed and burned on KS. One of them has been going for over SIX years without fulfilling the pledges. I am so leery of backing tech stuff now. So sad. I wish KS would do more, but the reality is KS got their money.
Thanks for the update TrashMan. I haven't received any communication from them at all and don't really expect to at this point in time. Like I've mentioned before they've failed to deliver. I would stay away from these 2 in any future Kickstarter dealings.
Here is the last info that I have via e-mail they sent out August 8th:

Let's drop in with the bad news; we won’t be able to deliver the Play+ any time soon, nor can we offer any refunds. However, we'd like to offer two regular Rocki Play for every Play+ you pledged for.
We made a bad decision to base the Play+ on a non-Linux system and ended up with a batch of devices that work in the bare essence but are hard to develop on. We have kept you waiting too long, therefore this long overdue decision.
We will be stopping the production and sales of Rocki hardware to focus on the software (apps and firmware) and help audio manufacturers build great connected audio products. Software development includes systems for new speakers & devices by hardware partners; and includes updates to the existing Rocki Play hardware devices.
We will follow up this month with a survey to confirm the shipping details of all of you who have not already gotten an alternative to waiting for their Play+.

Moving on to support partner projects
It has been a while since you last heard of us, and we’re very sorry about that. As silent as it has seemed, things have been very busy in the background.
For the past 10 months we have been focusing on the development of our software (apps and firmware) to help audio manufacturers build great connected audio products. You might see some projects where we are involved, one of which we will send you more details of in the next few days!
Going down this path actually enables us to work on things that have seemed to be standing still. We will continue to work with our manufacturing partners develop our software, including updates to the existing hardware for Rocki devices. However, we will be stopping the production and sales of Rocki hardware (Play+ users will receive additional info).
We’d like to thank you again for being on this journey with us.

No further info except to say they were teaming up with another KS project to provide audio support in a message August 11th. No surveys or questions on what was wanted have come in.
Has anyone gotten further messages from them, surveys, or rewards? Man! Some updates would be nice.
I'm also a backer for Play+ and haven't received any emails. Like I wrote before, these guys suck and don't ever back any of their future projects.
After not hearing from the Rocki Team since 1/27/2015, I received four emails from them within the last few days:
1.) They are sorry but they can't deliver Rocki Play+ but will send two regular Rocki Plays (which we already know do not work.)
2.) They have moved on to support “partner projects”
3.) THEN, the very next day, they have the audacity to request support for their “friends” new Kickstarter Project in an email stating “Rocki Powers IoT Audio projects with Onion”
So, the Rocki Team is “partnered” with another Kickstarter campaign called the “Omega2: $5 Linux Computer” that currently has 7,740 backers who have pledged $301,403 (of $15,000 goal) with 11 days to go. I don’t see Rocki mentioned anywhere in this campaign so the backers would have no way of knowing about Rocki collecting $222,197 in pledges (of $50,000 goal) and then not delivering.
I'm wondering about leaving comments to warn the backers of this new campaign, however, the only "proof" I have that the Rocki Team is involved is the emails I received.

Dear Alan/Dennis/Nick, I would like to take this opportunity on behalf of myself and the other Rocki backers to say, you and your teams Project Management skills...stink! Being too lazy to even keep your backers regularly informed of the good or bad is just unforgivable. It's not like we didn't keep asking and you constantly kept failing us. Just like to say My Rocki went out in the trash a long time ago. Thankfully, far superior products with proper support behind them arrived. Yes we are annoyed. With just a little effort from you, this could have all been so different. Well done in alienating your customers and backers. If you don't appear to give a damn about your customers, why should we give a damn about you? I would hope you have all learnt from this but I doubt it. Shameful.

I have no use for two regular Play ones. Either Play+ or refund.
Don't know if they are posting an update here, but they are sending emails out to their customers. They are no longer producing or selling the ROCKI devices (software updates supposedly will still happen). Further specific info supposed to be going to ROCKI+ backers (I'm not one of those).
This is beyond ridiculous by now, I've requested a refund in January, but still haven't heard back.

Poking the CEO paid off, I have finally gotten my refund.
This was my first Kickstarter pledge and it's the only one that hasn't delivered a product (out of 12 projects). Takes some real suckitude to fail so miserably.

Rocki = Dead google released an audio casting product that does what rocki does and more. The other day i noticed my rocki had cracked itself open the battery inside had swollen up huge and look like it was going to explode. extremely cheap parts. Probably the last kickstarter i will back since 90% of the ones I have backed end up not delivering the items or what they promised a product will be.
What the heck is going on here??? Why is no one talking to us??
I finally rec'd my goods from another campaign ...after 2 years ..... now I could use my Rocki Play + ordered.

My rocki went dead, i sent it to them a month ago as they requested, and nothing. 3 emails to original chain and no response.
I have a regular Rocki Play and stopped using it several months after I got it.... Was never impressed one bit....
"In the next week or two, we will give detailed updates on the following." Yea right. No update 2 months later. And my email about the refund has just been ignored, totally unacceptable how they treat their backers.

That's a hilarious update. After two years they still claim they are hopeless with communication and go to the bother of giving an update...but still don't put ANY useful information in it. How can you be so inept? The incompetence and stupidity is truly stunning. Why bother anyway with Chromecast Audio?

At today's Google event, the Chromecast Audio was announced. Looks to be a Rocki competitor.
Folks, leave your comments as an Amazon review or check them out on Google+ seems to be the odd bit of action there. Otherwise this party is over.

I have a regular Rocki and it collects dust. Haven't had the best results using when I got it and moved on to other ways to play music.
