Crazy Cultists is a quirky, fast-paced, competitive card game from Rocket House Games where 3-6 players race against each other to summon The Dark One!
Gain the Unholy Adversary’s favor and thwart your competition by unleashing terrible hexes on them or by giving them a good ol' fashioned “Beelze-Beatdown”. It's a no-holds-barred free-for-fall fight to be the first to light all 5 candles in your pentagram and usher in a thousand years of darkness!
During setup, each player receives (1) pentagram board and (3) cards. The candle tokens are placed anywhere within reach of all players. That's it. Easy peasy.
Come up with your own way to determine who goes first (we usually prefer the ol’ first one to play a card method) then continue clockwise.
Crazy Cultists is a fast-paced game, so don't worry if things get a little chaotic. It's all part of the fun.
Players take turns either building favor with The Dark One by creating a Favor Stack, or sabotaging a rival cultist by playing Hijinx Cards. It's a play one/draw one game so planning ahead is key. But remember, the closer you are to victory, the bigger the target on your back becomes!
Once a player reaches 10 or more points in their Favor Stack, they earn a candle token. Earn 5 candle tokens to win!
Favor Cards are valued between 1-3 points and are used to create your Favor Stack.
Favor Cards are stacked one on top of the other so that the corner number can still be seen. Once a player has reached 10+ Favor Points in his or her stack, the stack is discarded and that player earns a candle token.
Hijinx Cards are used to sabotage another player’s favor with The Dark One. These cards can produce a wide variety of effects, but most commonly cause a player to discard the last 1, 2, or 3 cards played in his or her Favor Stack.
The goal of Crazy Cultists is to be the first player to earn 5 candle tokens. Easier said than done, as the tide can turn at any time! Earn your candles as well as your rightful place at the side of The Dark One, himself!
Table talk is not only allowed, it's HIGHLY encouraged. Feel free to let the rest of the table know the contents of your careless fellow cultist’s hand or alert everyone to just how close Little Susie McQuiet-Pants is to getting her next candle token!
It’s all about being the cultist on top, so don’t be afraid to make a few enemies!
At its core Crazy Cultists is a "Take-That"/"Screw-Your-Neighbor" card game that gets more intense and more fast-paced as the game goes on.
Our goal was to create a game that mixes the best parts of a casual party game with tense strategy and non-stop action and we think we've done it! We are partnering with WinGo Games (https://wingo.games/) to handle the manufacturing of Crazy Cultists, but to make this all a reality, we need your help! And that's why we're here on Kickstarter.
We can't wait for you to see our game and we hope you love it enough to make it a reality.

Risks and challenges
Although this is the first game that has been launched on Kickstarter under the Rocket House Games banner, I would like to put any concerns to rest. All the designs for the game are close to final with any changes coming from additional backer input and stretch goals.
To avoid delays, I have planned and prepared as many of the game’s assets and rewards as I can before the launch so that when this project is funded and the campaign is done, we can hit the ground running and transition into production as smoothly as possible.
I truly hope this will have you looking forward to future releases from Rocket House Games.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
