Gamepad/Linux/iOS Support & Pledge Limit Increases
Hey everyone, we updated the FAQ on Gamepad, iOS, and Linux support.
We're aiming for the game to be as close as possible to the 16-bit/32-bit console experience, so we're definitely testing out and making sure all the kinks are ironed in order to have full controller support. We'll be updating all this information as the project goes along.
We see Linux support being very doable in the near future, but we can't yet confirm it. Once we find that it's 100% possible to do so, we will announce it! :)
We have no confirmed plan for an iOS port just yet. Though if we get funded beyond $150,000 we can get to working on a port. The main reason is that we would have to fine-tune the gameplay for touch-based controls, which would take a bit of time to make perfect, as we feel touch-based ports of controller-based gameplay is usually dumbed down. Also, further development costs for getting on iOS itself. If we would do iOS, we want to make it with the same quality as the PC/Mac version.
Also, we initially allotted for a lower count on the $250 Master Cryatist Pledge, so that has been extended to 100. Also, we have added 5 more Egotist's Pledges for getting yourself or your OC as an NPC in the game.
We don't want to go too far beyond what we planned to have in the game, but we figured that we could throw a few more special people in there. :) For those who are asking, your NPC will have multiple lines of dialogue (that you reasonably choose) that changes throughout the story, not just an "I'm here and this is my name" kinda thing. So they will be a part of the full experience.
