Erica Turns 40 and Levels Up

Posted by Erica Wisner (Creator)

My goodness, it's been a busy winter!

You have a couple of lovely DIY updates awaiting you on my blog:

one about Off-Grid Kitchen emergencies (aka "What Died In Here?")

one about Smoke Check
(a nearly DIY-level public safety proposal for reducing chimney fires)

and there's some additional posts that may interest some of you about my unexpected vision-quest in February, and the changes and plans we're making for 2017.

One of our wonderful supporters is helping me collect the dirt on those lovely Kitchen Rockets for your bonus materials.

I have started and not quite finished several of the other bonus items.  I am realizing that I'm much more effective with collaborators.  So if anyone else is eagerly awaiting a particular bonus item they would love to bump to the top of my priority list, please consider offering to help.  (Could be information-gathering, taking dictation, or just putting the word in that you're particularly eager for X and would be happy to comment on a rough draft whenever I get halfway ready.)

A comment on this update will keep offers all nice and collected, if you're willing to go public.

      p.s. Ernie's comment on the Iceman was .... sort of along the lines of selling ice to Eskimos, he sells cold to Scandinavians. Nice work if you can get it!

      @Nancy - Thanks!
      @Evangeline - I found your "Iceman" - looks very interesting! I suspect Ernie already knows some of what he's teaching (being an Arctic marine mammal himself), but I am downloading some of his stuff to read for myself as time allows. Always fun to find people who not only have "super powers," but have put some time into developing effective teaching practices to share and awaken those powers in others.

      Love you and love your work!

      With the coming Venus cycle in Aries you may be the epitome of that energy. You express something akin to a death and rebirth with "A lot to do!" I think of you often after backing the project and am gratified at the manner in which you have chosen to maintain connection to your backers.
      About the kitchen blog. Thanks. I have been falling away from any but "critter" techniques for maintaining and look to your extensive coverage as a resource and advisory for a baseline, when NOT to go too far. I am grateful.
      Now, for my modest gift of unsolicited advice. A little over a year ago I came upon Wm Hof, the "Iceman". I expect the people you have approached have knowledge of his work, but if not he is available to research on the internet. There is baselinewell-being in his method.
