Matzo Ball Scoop #9
Good Evening Team Matzo!
Hope you’ve had a great day! We’ve been busy all day long, workin’ the phones, Facebooking, sending out flocks of Tweets, letting people about that awesome Wall Street Journal article from this morning!
And other good news, we got some additional great press today from the Israeli newspaper, Haaretz, and a guest post in the Lower East Side blog, Bowery Boogie, about a piece of Streit’s and LES history we unearthed.
All the press has gotten us a lot of attention today. We’ve been getting invitations from film festivals, and the Film Forum even got in touch about picking up the film for a theatrical run! How amazing would that be?!
Just one thing… we have to finish the film first! And that means we need to hit our goal in the next 8 days. Kickstarter is all or nothing – if we hit our goal, we’re all set! If we miss by $1, we don’t get any of your pledges!
So, here’s the plan:
Memorial Day weekend is coming up. A lot of people will be out of town. After that, we only have a couple days left in the campaign. So the next couple days are crucial.
If you haven’t done it yet (and I know we’re all busy), this is the time to dig deep, to think about anyone you know that you haven’t told about the film that might be interested in supporting it, and let them know that we need their help to make this film happen!
Thank you so much for all you've done to get us to this point! One more week, one more big push, and we're going to get this movie made, together! We couldn't do it without you. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
