DPWD:TG is a ridiculous, simple, and satirical game where everybody loses in the end. Come on, everybody else is doing it . . .

Everybody else is doing it . . .
One day, Jordan made a joke about a horrible drug PSA that was aimed at children, saying, "It should just be a game where you try to play drug cards on other players and clean cards to try and clean yourself . . . I could actually make that." Jordan mentioned this "joke" to his cousin/ business partner, Derek, who said, "Sounds like a finished game to me." So, they fleshed it out and play tested it. Jordan and his wife Ali did awesome illustrations for the 1st edition, and then Jordan and Derek did a short run of 300 for the 1st edition. But that just wasn't enough. The 1st edition didn't even have a nice box and 300 isn't enough to get it into stores, or get everybody hooked on Don't Play With Drugs: The Game. So, they decided to run a Kickstarter, this Kickstarter in fact, to raise the money to make an amazing Don't Play With Drugs: The Game 2nd Edition. The first run was a guinea-pig, now we want to supply you with a higher quality product.

Yesterday Brings Today

Yesterday Brings Today is an illustrated short story by Jordan W Martin, that was funded through Kickstarter. It is two perspectives that form one story. The physical book itself has no back cover, it is read from both directions toward the center. The dedication reads, "For those that have left, and those of us left behind."
Thanks to Kickstarter, Yesterday Brings Today is now available online. Although this is worlds apart from DPWD:TG, you can still add it to your pledge if you would like

$8,000 Art:
The 1st edition had multiples of the same drug cards, if we reach this goal we will add more artwork, making more unique drug cards in the 2nd Edition.
$12,000 Party Pack:
We will finish the party pack expansion we are working on to expand the game to 14 players. This would be an add-on anyone can add to there pledge. The party pack will include more unique drug and clean cards.
$17,000: TBA, if we reach our $12,000 goal.
$30,000: TBA, when all of you get in here and get us up to the previous goal.
$42,000: TBA, are you getting the trend here . . . back us.
$52,000: TBA, yes this is possible, stop worrying about the stretch goals and get back to backing the project and telling everybody about it so we can get to here.

Risks and challenges
This is not our first Kickstarter campaign, so we are confident in our ability to deliver a quality product on time.
We have all the artwork done from the 1st edition, a new box design has been worked up and we have a printer lined up. We are still shopping around to make sure that they are the best quality at a good price, but aside from that our only concern is shipping. Shipping is a tough thing to do well, but we are going to do our best to keep those costs down and make sure everyone receives their rewards safely.
