Greetings and thank you for visiting my kickstarter campaign! My name is William DeVogue and as an adopted child growing up I felt a great deal of emptiness surrounding my life. Even though I had parents that provided for me there was loneliness and an overwhelming feeling that I was not in tune to what the world meant that surrounded me. As I grew older my life was consumed with searching for my biological blood but there was also this creative force that was being suppressed. I knew it was present, growing in intensity, but not having the guidance or direction to explore it I couldn’t quite understand it and know how to act upon it or what I was supposed to do with it.
Then in 2009, after spending most of my adult life searching, I found my biological mother. Finding my mother not only solved that piece of the puzzle but it also unlocked a magnitude of expression, creativity and self awareness that had been suppressed for years. It also revealed an interesting twist to my existence that I am still trying to wrap my minds around today and solidify as the last piece of the puzzle.
Filming “Not Forgetting Tina” has been a passion of mine for the past 3 years. I have traversed the bumps in the road and hurdled the obstacles that have risen before me. My goal for writing and filming this movie is to inspire others to never give up with their quest to uncover their past and discover their present. To make awareness that there are alternatives to mothers with addictions to seek recovery and still be able to hold on to their children.
Thank you for your support!!
About the Film
“Not Forgetting Tina” is a very powerful film that will take you back to the gritty times of Tina’s life in Greenwich Village and her struggles with the demons that controlled her life. It will tell the story of heartbreak, defeat, anguish and determination. It will chronicle certain rocky and turbulent events of my life, my search for my biological mother and the circumstances which led to her discovery. The film will also uncover certain events that led me to discover the identity that surrounds the other piece of my biological puzzle.
I would like to thank Bryan Rodrigues, a graphics design Professor at RISD, for helping me transfer my vision into this awesome poster. It will be a limited print, measures 12x18 and printed on heavy 80lb stock paper.

“Not Forgetting Tina” will be a serious film but I decided to have a little fun with the rewards. Since most of the film will be shot in Newport RI I decided to name the packages after certain points of interest that are located in and around Newport.
Where will my contribution be used?
Great question! If I were just going to break out the camcorder and shoot low quality definition then we could do this for a couple bucks. But in order to deliver the highest quality of film we are going to need the best equipment and that will include multiple cameras, lighting, sound, etc. I will also need to feed the crew, cast and the many extras I will need to shoot several scenes. Then there is also the cost of graphics, period clothing, staging certain sets, score consultation and post production. It all adds up but in order to make a mind shattering film, which it will be, then we need to spend the money.
Risks and challenges
As with any film there are many challenges this production faces. That is why we have teamed up with Video & Vision a professional Film & Video Production Company based in Newport, RI with a proven track record for these productions and a successful Rhode Island business for 10+ years.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
