We had completed Darkened Light using Indie Game Maker, an engine no one has ever used to create a commercial game. At the end of development, we were left with a product we wouldn't enjoy ourselves, but a game we loved. We then started programming a new engine and making Darkened Light the way we had always intended. We have no limitations anymore, code-wise or with graphics.
We are currently in the midst of programming our own engine and really want to make Darkened Light the greatest it can be. We have begun working with the Audio company ForteSounds Ltd. to help complete the process.

We will be able to cover our audio budget and finish up purchasing any licenses we need. We are also looking at releasing the game on OUYA. Our artist has begun creating more graphics and making older graphics better for the new engine. We will also be able to purchase any equipment that we don't have and need for our studio.
WE ARE porting the game to the new handheld system GCW Zero as well as the new console OUYA!
At $3000 We will be porting the game to the Nintendo eShop!
At $4000 We will have a New Game+ mode where you can play as Glenn.
At $5000 We will port the game to Mac
Any funding above and beyond our stretch goals will be put into our game.
In Darkened Light, you play as Epic Falroth, a young prince in the middle of a scouting and training Mission. When Epic's mentor Glenn is taken by some minions, Epic has to chase him down and find out the reason behind this kidnapping, as well as what the Darkened Light is.
With Darkened Light, we offer a unique platforming game with a mix of fast paced gameplay with RPG elements, hacking and slashing, and all of those things you loved about the old school platform games.
When the game is complete it will be released on Windows, Xbox 360 and Linux, but if we reach our stretch goals it will also be out on Ouya and Mac.
Risks and challenges
Our challenge was to overcome the mediocrity we had from creating the game in Indie Game Maker. With the funding, we will be able to get a professional OST for our game and complete the game with awesome SFX. We will also be able to get licenses to help better the graphics and features that we will provide for our audience.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
