Android and calibration improvements - download now!
Thanks again for all the comments, ideas, praise, constructive criticism, not-so-constructive criticism, posts, tweets... even postcards! (old school)
For those last few folks waiting for the device to arrive, Kate is currently chasing around postmen all over the world to make sure you get them as soon as possible. Fingers crossed it'll be perfect timing as the weather gets better suited to some bike exploration.
Couple of software updates for you:
We pushed a new version of the app to the Play store on Monday, and we're pushing another one this afternoon. You should find this version has a much better experience for the initial firmware update and is more stable on certain devices. Some awesome feature suggestions and UX improvements are coming back from you all - please keep that coming. We'll be working through things as fast as our fingers can type.
We've got an improved firmware now available. This makes the calibration both more slick to do and also more reliable (so less of the magnetic warning symbol) - you should find this to be a significant improvement on the previous version. We've also added a cancel button for if you accidentally enter calibration mode.
You'll see an alert in the app so that you can install the update:
However, the calibration is still something we're trying to optimise for all the different levels of magnetism that the different bikes have - there are a lot! We'll keep pushing improvements until this is nailed.
Should have an iOS update coming your way next week
As ever, keep talking to us, and do post pictures of the Beeline-enabled adventures you're having with a #ridebeeline!
