The Project - Automatisk Watch Collection
It has almost been a year of sketching, designing and prototyping, and now we finally feel confident to share our latest project with you. The all new Automatisk Collection.
Our approach to design and quality hasn't changed since we were founded in 2015, and newer will; still the same subtle lines, curves, and innovation in design. This time we are stepping it up by adding the STP1-11 Swiss Made automatic movement to this new line of watches.
We are offering four different color variants to choose from; we call them Moss, Plum, Stone and Dark. They will be available with two different straps to choose from, black or brown.
We need your help to get in production and realize this project. In return, we offer you one or more watches with savings of up to 55% – see the rewards for details.
A solid build watch case in high-grade antimagnetic 316L stainless steel that comes in a brushed finish or a darker sandblasted finish. Scratch resistant Sapphire Crystal in back and front – an anti-reflective double coating secures a clear view. Water Resistant 5 ATM.
Richardt Mejer Signature hands are used in all of our watches, this time with a brushed or sandblasted finish and Super-LumiNova® luminous paste pointers.
Double layered “bullseye dial”. The lower level is a matte colored dial with fine printed line-markers. The upper level is a sunray dial with printed logo and date window at 6. Stair-shaped steel markers are applied at 12, 3, 6, 9. The markers are Part brushed and part polished with Super-LumiNova® luminous paste.
Swiss Made Automatic Movement
The Automatisk model is powered by the Swiss Made STP1-11 from Swiss Technology Production. A high quality automatic movement that features:
- Hours, minutes, sweep second
- Date, rapid corrector
- Stop second device
- Self-winding mechanism with ball bearing
- 28’800 vibrations per hour, 4 Hz.
- 26 jewels
- Power reserve 44 hours
The development of the STP1-11 movement began in 2006 when the company was established. Today, their movements are used by famous Swiss watch companies.
You can choose between two different strap colors, black or brown, both made of fine genuine calf leather with a rectangular padding and a matt surface. The straps are with quick release, so you don't need any tools to change strap (see demonstration in the video below).
Design & Craft
Richardt Mejer is about developing and designing quality timepieces you won't find anywhere else, and so is the Automatisk watch. All parts are designed and will be manufactured for this project only. It's a long but rewarding process, but in the end, what makes the difference.
The Design for the Automatisk is building on the same principles as our two past collections, the Signature, and the Daily, but at the same time, nothing alike. We have developed a more aggressively angled case design that evolves from the flat sapphire crystal on top, and curve by curve eventually touches down on the wrist.
Feel & Wear
The Automatisk watch is a high-grade timepiece, and it feels like it. The Swiss Made STP1-11 movement is almost silent, it's only when you put the watch up to your ear that you will hear that perfect machinery ticking away. When you're wearing it, you will gently feel the movement rotor working inside and reminding you of its self-winding mechanism.
It is well proportioned and fits perfectly on a mid to large sized wrist.
The deal is simple. We need your help to fund and thereby realize this project. In return, we offer a discount of up to 55% of the future retail price and a chance to be one of the first people to own the new Automatisk watch from Richardt Mejer. See the rewards below:
We have come a long way since we started working on this project back in the summer of 2018. If this campaign succeeds, then we will begin producing the watches in August and will eventually be able to ship out in December 2019.
