About this project
"Please read this kick starter page about this great and worthwhile campaign." - Barbara King, actress on NBC's Parks and Recreation
NOTE: There are new rewards! And some rewards are no longer available! Donate now and make sure you get what you want!
It has been about two years since I wrote a sketch or anyone let me be in their sketch comedy video. So I need money so I can shoot some sketches. 4-5 years ago I took classes at Groundlings and UCB.
I know one comedian friend who will be in my videos. There is another comedian friend who I think might be in my videos too.
With money, I can pay a director of photography to shoot the video(s) and an editor to edit the video(s). The amount of videos depends on how much money I raise. If I raise the minimum ($500) I will shoot one video.
(NOTE: The photo above is taken from a sketch I wrote around 2010 that I performed at Comedy Bang Bang's sketch show in Los Angeles. It was an honor.)
PRESS UPDATE (1/27/2014): I was interviewed about my Kickstarter campaign on the Friday Nightcast Podcast. You can listen here!
PICTURES OF ME AND CELEBRITY FRIENDS WHO ENDORSE MY CAMPAIGN:
QUOTES & PRAISE FROM CELEBRITY BACKERS:
"With his Kickstarter campaign, Richard Feliciano describes his vision with brutal, heartbreaking honesty. If he tried to make up some dumb reason why he wanted to make some funny videos I probably would have given him a verbal lashing instead of barely enough money for a cliche pair of Chuck Taylors. Also, I don't think he used the word 'sustainable' as part of his pitch. Even better, but I'm not sure because I didn't take the time to completely read the letters and words on his page. I'm lazy and careless with money." - David Urbanic, Respected filmmaker, self-made man

Risks and challenges
The big risk is that the videos might not be that good. I will make sure that doesn't happen by tapping into the overflowing creative well that has been accumulating inside me in the 2 years I haven't written or performed a sketch.
The other challenges have to do with getting people to be in the videos. I still talk to 4-7 people who I took classes with and I'm sure they'll remember me and be in at least 1 or 2 videos.
The last challenge is figuring out how to display the videos. YouTube? Film festivals? Private screenings? I will be sure to hammer these things out as I go along.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
Are you open to drawing things tangentially related to the National? As a comedy fan it might be fun to see your interpretation of Matt on the Who Charted or You Made It Weird podcasts. Kulap and Pete really like Matt!
I am open to customization requests such as this. Please leave a comment on the campaign with your specific request. Include the scenario and/or possible additional characters you'd like to see. Thank you.
Yes, this is real. I am raising money to shoot some comedy sketches. My name is Richard Feliciano, I used to take classes at the Groundlings & UCB, and I know a few comedian friends who will be in my videos. Everything on this page is 100% verified and real. Thank you.
I will need more info (kind, length, situation, etc)
