The Ramsgate Festival of Sound is a sonic adventure exploring the creative and historic landscape of Ramsgate through music, film, art, poetry and performance. The festival features over 80 artists at various venues around the town

The  festival is produced by the charity Ramsgate Arts and its team of volunteers. It is the only UK festival celebrating all facets of sound creation.

Ramsgate is in Thanet, one of the most deprived areas in the UK. We believe that lives and communities can be transformed by making culture an intrinsic part of everyone's world.

We work with local, regional and international artists, musicians, poets, performers and educators.

This is the 10th year of the festival. Each year we look to grow in line with our ambition, which is to build on past experience to make this a signature event, known  not just locally but internationally.

The bigger we get, the more it costs.  And the greater the potential benefits.

We are very lucky to be supported by sponsorship from Thanet District Council, Ramsgate Town Council and Arts Council England. We also have to raise funds independently through advertising, sponsorship and public appeals, like this one.

Any donation you can give us will help towards us achieving our goal of pulling together another great festival to shine a brighter light on the fantastic town we live in and love.

Please watch our film and give what you can. Thank you.
