An unprecedented movement in Indigenous communities has arisen. It moves people to recover cultural memory, celebrate survival, and honor our ancestors. This generation is building that movement and we rise like water to quench the thirst for stories, demanding to be felt through song, dance, paint on canvas, and pen upon paper.
We come together to declare the rezilience that has always been within us.
REZILIENCE Indigenous Arts Experience is a profound, one-day exhibition that brings together Indigenous artists and creative professionals in diverse fields to promote Indigenous education, art, and culture.
Saturday, April 30th, 2016
Hosted by The National Hispanic Cultural Center,
1701 Fourth Street SW, Albuquerque, New Mexico.
This interactive experience will unite communities in an environment that bridges cultural knowledge with contemporary art-making processes. Activities will invite the public to demonstrate their passions and participate in hands-on activities while a multitude of Indigenous artists and art related professionals representing the United States, Canada, and Mexico share their talents, skills, and knowledge in eight creative arenas throughout the day.
By supporting our Kickstarter campaign, you are co-creating positive and intentional space that celebrates indigenous arts and culture! With your help, we'll be able to build a positive and creative environment that unites indigenous peoples and cultures from all around the globe.
We have created donation tiers that allow you to donate at your comfort level. Your monetary contributions will go directly toward costs related to securing and hosting indigenous artists/professionals from across the Americas and beyond, as well as to purchase materials to provide quality event services on the day of the event.

Risks and challenges
Creating an immersive and inclusive environment that allows artful Indigenous expression, uncensored storytelling, and bold celebrations of culture is a large responsibility and undertaking. Our vision is large but realistic. We commit to manifesting this event completely.
With this event, we aim to create a space where people can voice, express, perform, share, and LIVE THEIR REZILIENCE in ways that are true to them. Our goals are to have this inaugural event be the introduction to an annual program, be known as the exceptional example for collaboration and community building, and to help answer the very complex issues that indigenous people face world-wide. We strive for unity, knowledge, and healing through art and activity.
Our team is composed of individuals from various backgrounds and age groups with tremendous experience and depth of talent. We proudly represent our diverse cultures and have come together to bring this dream to life; we need your support and financial backing to achieve this.
Together, we will live our REZILIENCE!
