Nevermind, I've checked the homepage, french is there
Maybe I missed something but... Will there also be a french version of the game ?
@Rendref Totally agreed with you.
I hope it doesn-t set before BS3-4. It will be a completely stuoid idea. All the poin is to see continuation of the George/Nicole story. And besides, from BS3-4 you clearly could understand that Nico and George haven't seen each other between the games and especially haven't been involved in same Great Adventure. For fans of the games it wold be really stipid to want just ignore events of BS3-4, which are great-great wonderful stories in itself. If you are 3d hater of BS - just restrain this feeling.
I really hope that Revolution Software will not abandon the storylines of BS3-4 in any way.
Continuation, not a prequel...
+1 for Brazilian Portuguese subs.
Pleeeeease, add Brazilian Portuguese Subtitles too!!
Brazil has a lot of Broken Sword fans!!
The first and second games we had with this option. And was amazing because we could understand all the history!
Please, think about it!
@Paul - Tony confirmed it in the comments section a while back & I believe Charles also mentioned in a recent interview that he see's the Serpent's Curse as following on from Broken Sword II. But yes, the Serpent's Curse is still a stand-alone game in the series.
@JJ- I dont necessarily think Serpent's Curse is to be set before 3 & 4. Its simply returning to the older format.
@Guillermo - It makes sense since BS5 is set before BS3 & 4 :)
Related to the new George, I think it's awesome, looks younger than The Sleeping Dragon and The Angel of Death's ones, though!
About Italian and Spanish voices! HELL YEAH. I pray for Tomás Rubio as Spanish George!
"to confirm that voices will be recorded in Spanish and Italian"
graziee grazieee evviva :)
George look way too cartoony compared to the first games.
Kinda like LucasArts did with Guybrush in the remastered edition.
The new George is awesome ! Congratulations for your wonderful work !
Yes, that new George looks good. It's a miracle what a more defined jawline can do to a person.
The new George is perfect!
George Stobbart --> TOMÁS RUBIO (In spanish)
Would be good if you were to bring back a fair few characters from the older games.
Thanks for the news about Italian dub! BTW try to contact the original Italian dubbers for George and Nico, at least. Regarding the 3D model for George I really like the new one. Thanks a lot again for putting so much effort in satisfying our request.ìs.
I agree with David Marín Baraza, version #3 George was quite handsome :D The facial features still look a bit soft if you compare them.
Hey just following up from update two what characters I might want to see would be Eamon O'Mara and the inspector from Sleeping Dragon. The inspector I am talking about would be interesting because although he didn't seem perfect he was not a neo templar so could be useful the George and Nico.
But still lacks a personality point facial
But certainly the face that I like is that of Broken Sword 3
This face is identified with the view much better in other games George, more masculine. And they appreciate a more elaborate end in Broken Sword 4, seemed to lack something, it was very bland. And in the teaser when Charles says "cut", a man crosses the screen with a picture of Kant, is this a clue?
Estoy encantadísimo de que se doble al español. Y por supuesto, la nueva cara muchísimo mejor, se refleja más con los rasgos faciales de otros juegos.
Please, think of a french version of George with Emmanuel Curtil !!
I m a french backers and i m proud to be a part of this project !
I hope that that voices will be recorded in french !
come on still #50,000 to reach the goal !!
Or somebody else... It doesn't matter if George hasn't the same voice as Jim Carrey in France -_-".
http://www.youtube.com/watch… tomás rubio!
" A french Version with Emmanuel Curtil voice please ! that would be wonderful!"
+ 2 !...
+ 1 !!!
It is kind of amazing how much difference a tiny adjustment can make - as far as I can tell, it's pretty much just a slight change to the jawline? Anyway, yes, the new version looks much more... *right*, I guess.
A french Version with Emmanuel Curtil voice please ! that would be wonderful!
I love how he looks now and I hope his face will express his personality as well as it did in the first two games of the series. I'll wait to see George moving in the environment.
How about original colors for George's clothes?
Furthermore, this George is better, but don't be to close to 'runaway style' either for characters and for scenaries. We loved hand painted ones like ireland, syria, marseille etc.
Looking good George. How old are you now? Must be 35-ish. Looking sophisticated!
I say give Nicole a sexy voice as in the Past i loved the France accend.
He is also lighter skinned.. How about giving George some stubble?? More rugged look! Make him look like he has been through a Jungle or stuck on a beach set of a movie! George has to go through a rough patch at some point..
The changes on new George are subtle but made him look MUCH better :) That extra bit of definition worked wonders yo! I think that maybe you should try painting the face texture?
kiy0, for me is tomas rubio the original george, i play with 7 years the first broken sword in my language, and BS 2 and 3 are in spanish so please... a little respect for other users.
new george looks great!
i want to thanks revolution from all spanish fans of the saga, we are hoping to reach the goal of 400.000 and i can't wait more to play the game.
george looks great by the wat, you guys are doing an incredible job!
Pd: It would be nice to see george in spain again ;)
I forgot to mention, there are a couple of things with the hair. The orange line down the middle parting of course - I don't think he was ginger. It should perhaps be more of a brown colour, just lower brightness and saturation. In the image of him looking to the left, the hair looks almost crash-helmet like. Cel-shaded shadows are quite strong but blonde hair would let light travel through it so the shadow would be much softer. It may be possible to even prevent the hair object casting a shadow on George but not altogether of course as it would affect drop shadows. The eyebrows might not need the stroke outline either as they are dark enough to distinguish from the skin. I uploaded a rough test here with those changes - http://i48.tinypic.com/vd0j12.jpg - I'd rather this not become a design by committee and while it's nice to have the opportunity to put in suggestions, I hope the Revolution team pick and choose what they feel will work best.
As a hardcore Broken Sword fan, I'm pretty disappointed resources are being literally wasted in voice acting for different languages. If people don't understand English, just create subtitle packs for their languages. George Stobbart is not George Stobbart if not played by Saxon.
We want a longer, deeper game. Don't waste money on a few thousand people that are not in the mood to read subtitles. This is Broken Sword. We want an epic game. Italian? Russian? Spanish? Really? o.0
That's my George !

Like the new George with the more square jaw!
For those still having trouble discerning the differences, see this GIF (although its quality is worse): http://makeagif.com/baxEPD
how about translating the text to european portuguese?
"a bigger, longer game rather than content that’s exclusive to Kickstarter backers" - check
Also liked the Wii - Version of the Director's Cut with some of its puzzles utilizing the Wiimote / motion detection and its "Coop-Mode". Additionally its a lot easier and much more comfortable when playing together with friends & family (with or without Coop) in front of a big TV screen instead of a "tiny" PC monitor .
And yes please, as mentioned before, custom cursors like in BS1+2 would be nice again :)
