Project Nautilus VR
Dive into the exotic depths of the ocean. Swim alongside a big blue whale. Deep sea dive beside a hundred year old turtle. Did you ever dream you could experience something like this? We certainly did and we want this dream to become a reality for everyone.
Many of us discovered what virtual reality was thanks to Oculus Rift and its incredible possibilities. We wanted to create the same experience but this time in an underwater setting and offer a unique virtual experience. And thus, the Nautilus project was born. In order to achieve our objective and dream, we spent hundreds of hours researching and developing underwater virtual reality. We are taking a new step with this fascinating technology by exploring undiscovered territory: the depths of the sea and its conservation. Nautilus VR is Patent Pending in the US .
How does it work?
Using Nautilus VR HMD (Head mounted display ) is quite similar to using a Cardboard or Samsung Gear VR. It allows you to fully enjoy state of the art virtual reality technology with your smartphone. Simply download the Nautilus Platform app on your smartphone and insert it inside the Nautilus VR. Enjoying virtual underwater reality has never been so easy and fun. Everyone can now get up and close safely to the underwater world thanks to a state of the art virtual reality technology. NautilusVR is compatible with most of smartphones, included iPhone 6, Samsung Galaxy S5 or Sony Xperia Z3.
It is the main attraction behind the Nautilus Project VR . You will access a fascinating underwater experience with interactive virtual environments and high quality 360 degree videos in an open and collaborative platform. Discover the island Isla Mujeres in Mexico, immerse yourself in the Great Barrier Reef, explore the lost city of Atlantis or dive like never before under giant icebergs.
Education plays a key role within the Nautilus VR Project. We want to offer something more. We will bring the mysteries of underwater worlds to children, we want them to learn how to respect and protect the fragile marine ecosystems. They will be able to find detailed information on species and their natural habitat. The platform is available in a special version that can be adapted to tablets, allowing the whole family to find complete information on marine life.Nautilus VR Platform will be available in: IOS, Android, Windows Phone, Blackberry, (smartphones and tablets) and Oculus
Developers and digital artist.
Nautilus VR Platform is an open platform. In the near future, developers of virtual environments, specialists in 360 underwater video and digital artists will be able to join our collaborative project. We want to build the most complete digital underwater world, and we want you to be part of it. Join us and take part in this exciting project
Google Cardboard compatibility.
If you have Google Cardboard, you also be able to use the Nautilus VR Platform.Naturally you will not have the same sensations as if you were underwater, but you will be able to enjoy the amazing underwater world unfolding before your eyes.
Support Ocean Conservation
The ocean are an important source of food and protein for humans. Overexploitation of marine life is becoming a serious global problem that will affect all of us. Unsustainable fishing practices such as bottom trawling or diver and swimmer neglect leads to rapid degradation of one of the most important ecosystems for survival on our planet. Project NautilusVR has set a clear objective of education and environmental awareness. Our project will support several initiatives related to environmental protection and preservation of the marine life and ecosystems .
Nautilus VR and healthcare
Nautilus VR HMD will transform the way patients perform rehabilitation therapies. University of Washington students have demonstrated that using virtual reality games greatly improves the rehabilitation of their patients. Imagine the benefits for those who have to spend several hours a week in pools without any form of entertainment. Senior citizens can also enjoy Nautilus VR as it will allow them to enjoy underwater experiences in favorable conditions.

Nautilus VR at MWC2015
Our team came together with our first project, an original remote control for Google Glass, for which we managed to successfully manufacture an initial batch of 1000 units. With the VR Nautilus project we have grown and so we have incorporated new developers and even a biologist, all equally fascinated with the development of this innovative project.
This is the small team that works hard everyday turning our dream into a reality.

Status and production plan
Our team worked hard for several months. We have the first working prototype ready and we are ready to move forward with the project. Everything is ready to begin production as soon as we get our funding target. Production becomes a complex issue considering the complexity of a technological product such as Nautilus VR. We are very aware of this, and we know credibility is a must. That´s why we have been working on the production plan from the very beginning while we were designing Nautilus VR and developing the platform.
We have also started working with the contents, and several developers, biologists and divers are ready to start work as soon as we get the funds.
Risks and challenges
We are very excited about our project, and for us the main thing is to keep our promise.
We have worked very hard to make the first working prototype, and in relation to hardware, we know that there will be challenges during the process of manufacture, production or shipping, but we will overcome these challenges with our experience and our passion.
We are confident about meeting our deadlines, and we will keep you informed of project progress throughout the campaign. We are equally committed to meeting our deadlines and delivering a product that is of the highest quality.
The final design can vary from the here presented.
