Six Gun Showdown is a quick 5-10 minute game where players are a character in a Wild West shootout. The game combines strategy, memory and a dexterity element, like a "quick-draw" that serves to generate tension and guides the players to read their opponent's actions, really immersing them into the feeling of being in a shootout.
Designed as a small box game that is as quick to learn as it is to play. Six Gun Showdown can be enjoyed as part of a board games night either as a quick game between other games, or run as a small tournament of linked games.
Players can choose one of six characters that each have their own deck of cards and unique dice that require different strategies to be successful. This gives Six Gun Showdown layers of tactical depth that will have you playing the game again and again.
The basic rules pdf can be found here
Tom had a chat with Ryan from On TableTop whilst we were at UK Games Expo 2019 about Six Gun Showdown. It covers what the game is about and also a play through of the game which really shows off how it is played.
All copies of Six Gun Showdown will come in a two part telescopic box, with 90 poker-sized cards, 6 unique etched dice and a rules booklet. Style of dice and box design may change dependent on funding level reached (i.e. which printing company is used) and unlocking of Stretch Goals.
If you want more than just the game, you can choose one of the reward bundles (see below), or increase your pledge to include the add-ons you want.
We will showcase the available game mat designs and also the dice tray designs in an up-coming campaign update.
In case anyone is wondering – there will not be any extra “game elements” for Six Gun Showdown. We can’t add another character, because we haven’t designed another one. Even if we did design an extra one, they will not get same level of play-testing to ensure characters are not unbalanced like the other characters, so this won’t happen.
But lets face it, 6 characters for Six Gun Showdown makes sense. 7 is just odd (yes, we know it can also be Magnificent, please appreciate the numerical pun).
We want to reward people for supporting us. In that vein our stretch goals are based on providing extra artwork for the game and providing small gifts to you to show our appreciation. So hit those Achievements and start unlocking stretch goals!
We are not charging shipping during the campaign as the different add-ons can significantly affect the weight of packages sent out. UK delivery will be tracked, whereas we will be using standard delivery for international destinations which can be upgraded to tracked and signed for £5. The above prices are estimates, but we would expect them to be pretty close to the final prices.
We will be using Backerkit again as a pledge manager to organise your orders and to ensure correct shipping prices are paid. We anticipate that we will be sending out the surveys in August and this will be when delivery costs will be charged. We have used Backerkit for Vote ME! and we know we can tailor delivery to match everyone's specific order and minimise the cost you will pay.
We think Six Gun Showdown is pretty awesome and a lot of other people have been enjoying it too. Below are a number of unpaid preview and/or play-through videos and blog posts. If you like any of these, please consider following the people who have written or recorded things.

We want to support everyone's FLGS that back our campaign. We currently provide a price direct to retailers that is 50% of RRP, thus for each copy of Six Gun Showdown or Vote ME! ordered, we will send you two copies.
In the past we have provided free demo copies of Vote ME! to stores as well as run demo games in stores. If you would like a free demo copy of Six Gun Showdown and/or would like us to be involved in demoing in your store, please contact us.
We will have a restricted window for late backer pledges which will correspond to the times we are at conventions (for example, Tabletop Scotland). We will be providing a two week window of exclusivity to our customers before dispatching rewards out to retailers who back us. We will then provide a 4 week window of exclusivity to retailers who have supported us.

Risks and challenges
We have run and fulfilled two kickstarter projects - our last one was for the promo-version of Six Gun Showdown in February this year.
This is not an artificially low funding goal - we have a quote for a minimum order of 250 copies, so this funding goal will cover this amount.
We will be using backerkit again for our pledge manager.
We are aware of the recent tariff situation in the USA and have a European manufacturer on board, so for most eventualities, there should not be an additional tariff applied.
Shipping will be charged when the pledge manager is sent out so that we can give you the most up to date and accurate prices. Due to the political situation in the UK, we are aware that there may be changes occurring in the up-coming months. We will be using fulfillment companies, such as Spiral Galaxy for international shipping.
