Journeyman Edition production update

The master disc has been approved by quality assurance, the factory has been given the official thumbs up, and production has begun on the Journeyman Edition.

(At this point, we're allowing ourselves a tiny "yay!".)

We don't know exactly when the boxes will arrive at our office, but we'll post updates to Twitter, Facebook and the backers page on our website. Keep at least one of 'em bookmarked.

As mentioned in our previous update, the Journeyman Edition (JE) will also be included with the Dreamer and Shifter editions. To clarify: JE will be included inside the Dreamer/Shifter boxes, together with the other physical rewards. They will not be shipped separately.

We're doing this because it's practical — the game discs will be better protected than they would be in a sleeve — and because we think it's a very cool box that we want to share with more of you. Also, there's room, so why not.

This does not mean we're further delaying the special editions: once the Journeyman Edition has shipped to 1542 of you, we're starting production on the Dreamer and Shifter editions for our remaining 1109 backers.

Until next time!

I really can't wait to get my cloth map, books and games, I have not played it yet or watched anyone play it yet I've been waiting!

@RTG: Thanks! I adjusted it to point to another address just out of an abundance of caution. Very excited to see the physical rewards at last, thanks again!

@Robert McNamara: If you've backed the Journeyman Edition — yes. You should receive your package before the end of March. If you want the box delivered to your new European address, however, it's easy to change the shipping address on Backerkit: http://dreamfall.backerkit.com

So far I haven't moved again since the last update. Currently very comfy in my new home. Will probably play it again when I have the directors cut in my hands. :3

So I´m not the only one who hasn´t played it yet. :D
      And you know antipication. ;)

So, my family is actually moving abroad (US to Europe) at the end of next month. At this point, should I probably try to get my address changed in your database, or is there an extremely strong likelihood that we'd receive shipments before the end of March?

Same here. I have the game since ages but I'm not sure it can run good enough on my (very) old PC, so it'll be on my next one.
Anyway, good games stay good, even years later :)

@Edward: Believe us, we understand. There are way too many good games and way too little spare time. Backlogs often stretch back years. Hopefully you'll get around to it at some point!

@Maus: The definitive version of the game is already available on Steam and Humble — you should have access to both. The Final Cut was released last July and patched in August, and this is the version we're putting on DVDs.

I haven't played it yet either, maybe there is still time to get a new faster PC by then. ;-)
It does seem strange though, considering how long ago the Kickstarter was, that I haven't managed to squeeze it in.

Yes!!! This means I can finally play the game! Of course I've had it in my library for years, but I've been waiting for the definitive version.
