We're sending our award-winning film Horse You See to the DVD factory!
We are raising money to make this happen. The factory requires a minimum and so we have to raise at least $2,000 to get started; but the more we raise the more DVDs we can make and send to you! The movie is finished, so all we need to do is produce and send you the discs.
Pledge today, get charged after December 1, and receive your DVDs in time for the holidays. We need to raise the full amount for this to happen, so when you pledge please tell your family, your friends, and everyone who loves movies.
We have a beautiful design that our fans will love. The DVD will come in a nice eco-wallet, and it's going to look like this:
And the DVD itself:
Those of you who have been fans of Ross for a long time will have the chance to give a gift that's almost better than corn and red pears!
Those of you who are new to this film will have get to watch a wonderful movie about a horse that talks and sings in Navajo. Ross talks about life and the things he loves; and we have a short trailer here that we hope will show you what the film is about.
The movie is only 7 minutes long, but those are 7 minutes of pure film gold. First of all, it's a movie in the Navajo language, and as you know there are not many of those just yet. Your support will encourage us and other filmmakers to continue making Navajo language films.
But don't just do it for the cause-- do it also for the fun. This is a movie that you can watch, and give as a gift, and use to learn a language, and sign along to it, and remember as an inspiration. Besides, it's 100% children-friendly, and you know how kids love to play their movies over and over and over again, so this gift will be enjoyed more times than last year's fruitcake.
We send you a DVD for every $10 you pledge. Get as many as you want for your friends, your family, or your basketball team. Larger pledges get some extra perks: postcards, photos, posters, and special editions with public performance rights. All your rewards ship to a single location. And for large contributors there are some nice rewards, like photos and posters and even the rights to have a public screening of the movie.
Pledge today and you will get your movies delivered in time for the holidays.
The technical details
The DVD comes shrink-wrapped in a beautiful eco-wallet that's been especially designed for this project. The video format is NTSC, which is the TV system of the Americas, but it can be watched in any computer around the world because it's region-free. The aspect ratio is 4:3, which is the same as old TVs and classic movies, as you can see from our trailer. In Navajo, with English subtitles.
