Recycle Woman is a 24 min short film. The film's script was cleverly written by Donald E. Lacy, who fused the real community work and journey of Jessica Jane Robinson, Miss Alameda, with comedy, Reality TV spoofs, romance, special effects, and real environmental disaster footage. The film was sponsored by StopWaste.org, Northern California Recycling Association, Altamont Education Advisory Board, and Alameda County Industires.
Recycle Woman is a super hero whose alias is Miss Alameda. Recycle Woman made a promise to herself that she would do everything in her power to help save the planet and the people of the world. Her super powers help her accomplish this mission by giving her the ability to fly and show people images of the planet’s condition due to pollution and mistreatment, through the palm of her hand. She can even dump plastic gyre from the ocean onto people who refuse to listen.
Due to the success of the film and encouragement from those who have seen the movie, Jessica Robinson and Donald Lacy have decided to take RW (Recycle Woman) to the next level and brand her as a comic. With guidance from film industry professional, RW is in the process of transition to the commercial level of entertainment. The funds raise will support the process of branding RW as a comic, which include the following:
• Character designs: for lead character “Recycle Woman” & Three (3) supporting characters
• Character studies: including poses and expressions
•Mock up backgrounds and environments: for 30 second presentation
• 30 second presentation of animated poses of “Recycle Woman”
• Digital Presentation package: including 30 second presentation and related materials
• Printed presentation package: including posters and related materials
Once the branding is complete, Jessica and Donald will begin to raise $30,000 from angel investors, to created a 3-4min animated comic series of the "Origins of Recycle Woman."
