I know I am not the only one who goes to the gym or on a jog around the neighborhood with an electronic device firmly attached to their arm. Accessing a phone or music player while attached to your arm is difficult and time consuming. With Recoil Armband, we give your device freedom to attach and detach without removing the band from your arm or the device from the band. If by any chance you have a clumsy moment, the recoiling cord will stop it from hitting the ground. The applications of the Recoil Armband do not end with your work out. You can use it while working high on a telephone pole or any elevated situation without the fear of dropping your phone. This is truly one of a kind. Our patent is pending, but we need your help to make this a available to all. The funds raised for this project will help pay for the plastic injection molds, the setup fee for dye-cutting the material, and materials to build the armbands.

The Recoil Armband includes:
The Armband, recoiling accessory (recoil device & plastic recoil holder), cell phone lanyard, and iPhone 5/5S case. Note: special offer Go Aluminum is the only tier with the aluminum case. We are working on offering other phones/devices besides the 5/5S, but any phone case can be modified to work with the Recoil Armband.
In order to start the process, we need to gather funds to launch production. That is why we need your help to notify everyone you know about Recoil Armband, because our fate lies within the hands of our pledges. We have manufactures setup to produce and cut the material. As soon as the materials arrive to Utah, we will begin sewing and assembling the Recoil Armbands. Once they pass our quality assessment process, shipping will occur, which is expected to be at the end of July or possibly the beginning of August. We will do our best to be as efficient as possible and send our rewards out earlier in July.
Advancements from drawings to real life!
The Creation of the Recoil Armband.
The process of reading and replying on your phone or any electronic device upside down is irritating, not to mention painful when you crank your neck. If you ignore the call or text then you might upset the girlfriend or miss out on something important, like picking up the kids because they got out early. And if you do answer, then you will regret it when you drop the phone and it shatters while you were trying to put it back in the armband. The solution to the problem came to me when I was heading to a 5K with my friends and we were discussing products that make life easier. It must have been the positive energy between us because it just clicked, and I realized I needed to combine a retractable device and an athletic armband.
Finding the combination of stretch and support for the armband was not an easy task. If you look below, we have designed a few prototypes trying to find that perfect fit.
Risks and challenges
I am an average Joe and I know every dollar counts. The biggest challenge with any project is cost. The funds raised from Kickstarter will allow us to buy all the components in bulk at the lowest cost. Our goal is to ensure delivery of our product by minimizing unnecessary steps in the production process. We have encountered multiple challenges thus far, but our belief and dedication in the Recoil Armband supersedes any discouragement as we know there is a solution.
