It's fun for gamers & easy for non-gamers!
Crazier Eights is a gateway fantasy card game series -- it is fun for gamers & easy for non-gamers. It can bring gamers together with non-gamer friends and family. Every card has a unique ability and the first player to have zero cards in hand wins.
Crazier Eights: Camelot has been a success and over one hundred stores around the USA have got Crazier Eights games to sell. Now I will publish Crazier Eights: One Thousand & One Nights. This is a stand alone game that can be mixed with any other version of the game printed in 2017 or after, such as Crazier Eights: Camelot.
Stretch goals become available/unlocked once the specified funding is reached. Note that Crazier Eights: Shahrzad comes with a Pyramids of Giza promo card.
Every copy of Crazier Eights: One Thousand & One Nights given as a Kickstarter reward will come with the Wish promo card. I will also give them out for other promotional reasons. It will not be reprinted for at least a year. If it is reprinted, it will have new art.
This is your opportunity to get the limited edition reward level to be the first to get all three of these additional promotional cards -- Sphinx of Giza, Paradise, and Library of Alexandria. (The reward also comes with a physical copy of Crazier Eights: One Thousand & One Nights.) They will be given out for other promotional offers over the next year, and they will be limited in quantity. They will not be reprinted for another year, and any reprints will have new art for them.
Add-ons are only available with a reward level worth $14 and above.
The 1001 Nights add-on is upgraded to the limited edition with any reward level worth $16 or more. It is the regular version of 1001 Nights with the $14 reward level.
There are limited quantities of the older versions of Crazier Eights available, so add-ons of older versions are limited and only available while supplies last. You may use up to five add-ons of any 1001 Nights or Shahrzad version of the game, and you may use up to two add-ons of any older version of Crazier Eights. (You can get up to five add-ons for the jumbo version of 1001 Nights and up to five add-ons for the regular version of 1001 Nights. You can only get two add-ons for Camelot, Avalon, and/or the first edition.)
Note that you may not order more than ten copies of any specific version of Crazier Eights including the regular rewards.
Shipping a jumbo version add-on overseas will cost you an additional $14 per copy you order. You pay an additional $9 for shipping a jumbo version to Canada for each per copy you order.
Add-ons let you add more to your pledge for bonus rewards. Keep a note of what add-ons you are paying for, and let me know about it. You will be asked to answer a survey after the Kickstarter is over, so I know what add-ons you are paying for.
Crazier Eights: Shahrzad is a $9 add-on option. It is a smaller set of 33 cards that also has a One Thousand & One Nights theme, and enough for a three player game. This can be mixed with Crazier Eights 1001 Nights, and Kickstarter sales will also come with the Pyramids of Giza promo card!
The jumbo decks are a promotional offer for this Kickstarter. It's the same game, but the cards are more than twice as large. This will have a very small print run and they are only available on Kickstarter and for other promotions. It comes with jumbo versions of the promo cards shown above, and it has a rules document rather than a rule book.
You can get a jumbo version of Crazier Eights: One Thousand & One Nights for $69, and for Crazier Eights: Shahrzad for $49. Both decks are an option using add-ons, as seen above.

"This is also a great game to take with you on the go. It fits in a deck box and doesn’t take up much table space... I found the abilities on the cards to be interesting and well balanced. Each game we played ended up being pretty close."
"If you’re looking for a fun game that can be a gateway into other fantasy games, or a segue for what will be studied, I highly recommend Crazier Eights: One Thousand Nights."
"It was a really fun game. We both really enjoy trying to manipulate each other's turns. It was beautiful artwork."
"Crazier Eights: A Thousand and One Nights also makes a great addition to your travel games, the size of a regular deck of cards makes it extremely portable but it also offers a little more depth than a normal deck of cards."
"My family enjoyed Crazier Eights: One Thousand & One Nights. We like lighter card games that can be played between other activities or after dinner, and we found the 1001 Nights theme inspired us to read stories, discuss topics, investigate artists, and even watch movies that were related to the theme. It makes a great jumping off point for people to move from simpler to meatier card games, as well."
"Some of the public will obviously prefer the Celtic references, while another will rather go to the magic of the nights of the Orient. Although we appreciate what Camelot offers, we are more attracted to Crazier Eights: One Thousand & One Nights. This for the good and simple reason that one is more adept of this universe." Shipping is going to cost me more than what you pay here. If you are in the USA, shipping is included at no additional cost.
Shipping overseas can cost me over $14 for the regular version, but I will only charge you $11. (You pay only $6 for the regular version in Canada.)
Shipping the jumbo version overseas will cost you $25. (You pay only $15 for the jumbo version in Canada.)
Kickstarter is for crowd funding. This is your chance to help make a dream a reality and get rewarded for doing so. This time I am willing to fund most of the manufacturing costs myself, but I am still new to the world of game publishing and can use your help.
If you make a pledge, you choose a reward. When the game is funded (has $500 of pledges) and the campaign is over, you will pay for your pledge. The game is scheduled to be released by October 20, 2018.
Risks and challenges
I depend on some third parties -- such as the manufacturer and postal service. I can't guarantee that no unforeseen problems arise from them. I will do what I can to overcome obstacles, such as sending a second package when one is lost in the mail.
The funding goal does not cover all the shipping charges, and I am willing to pay out of pocket if necessary.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
