You could ask any Melbourne buyers if they want to combine shipping...if we all agree that'll reduce our shipping costs.

    2. Reclusive Phoenix (fka Warchild40k) Creator 4 days ago

There are just 6 from Australia. I don't think a hub will be needed this go around but appreciate the offer.

    3. Yxalitis 5 days ago

How many Australian backers do you have?
I run a small business distributing horse products across Australia, It could assist greatly in reducing shipping costs to use a hub center for Australia/New Zealand.
      Let me know your thoughts

Yes but in the all-in and the everything ready to ship the mother Hydra is out of focus. The over good pict it's the green (like on roberto page). So I wondering if you could post the master in resine in better quality. Thanks

    6. Reclusive Phoenix (fka Warchild40k) Creator on

      Hi Lionel,

Each of the images on the main page should have a click through link to a larger image. If you go through the add-on section and click on the specific model you are looking for it should take you to a larger image.

If you want more detail and alternate views, check out Roberto Chaudon's blog here:
http://robertochaudonblog.blogspot.com/ He's posted images of all the miniatures that we unlocked I believe.

If you can't find what you are looking for let me know.

Funded!!! Well done everyone. Shame we didn't get to Lillaen, but definitely worth pledging all the way up to her seeing that the last hours were madness.

Now I have to hope mr. Taxman is nice to me

    14. Yxalitis on

I worked out my order was $174, so that's what I pledged...

If I hadn't upped my pledge by a further $56 (woe is my wallet) we would have only been $1 above 15k XDD

I look forward to Collection B and more... fascinated to see what ruleset you come up with too. I'm a huge fan of Infinity which, although somewhat rules-heavy, never fails to create (pardon the cliché) "cinematic moments"... something like a stripped back version of Infinity set in the HPL universe would be very cool

    17. Reclusive Phoenix (fka Warchild40k) Creator on

Thank you to everyone that backed! You are all awesome. I'll post an update shortly. There's already an update with the next steps but I'll post something in a little bit. Thank you all once again!

Well no sugar daddies but we're funded!!! Nice job everyone

Yep, moving in the right direction :)

    28. Yxalitis on

      Ooh, new backer...

    29. Yxalitis on

      Up another $100...come on!!!

    30. Yxalitis on

Probably would have been a movie that had very little similarity to the story...like "Reanimator' that was "Based on the works of HP Lovecraft...riiiight...

    31. Yxalitis on

what, we dropped back below $15,000!!! OMG
come on everyone, chip in $1!!

    32. Reclusive Phoenix (fka Warchild40k) Creator on

Yea it blew my mind that they didn't want to make it because of the Aliens movie and feeling it was too close in story. I didn't really think they were that similar.

    33. Yxalitis on

I first read Lovecraft way back in my youth...no idea which was my first, I just loved the old-style prose, the other-worldyness, and the imaginative creatures.
Mountains of Madness is a classic, and damn near got made into a movie!

OK you got me. Added a final $12 for Lillaen. Another leap of faith! Anyway it's late here so I'm turning in... best of luck for the final hours of the campaign

    36. Reclusive Phoenix (fka Warchild40k) Creator on

@Adrián Yes I agree. The creepy atmosphere and settings created in the stories is awesome. As for the extending life part, I always enjoyed the Re-Animator story. I don't think I was the same after seeing the movie as a young teen lol

    37. Reclusive Phoenix (fka Warchild40k) Creator on

Just a reminder to everyone. Be sure to add the costs for any add-ons you might want to your pledge now. You will be able to add in the pledge manager but anything added after the KS ends will not help unlock new miniatures. So if you are planning to add more to your pledge be sure to do it before the KS ends. Under 3 hours now!

My first was The survivor. It was the first short story of a little compilation book of Lovecraft/Derleth stories. I loved the creepy setting and the idea of extending life through surgeries and rituals to achieve the characteristic longevity of lizards. And I was just fascinated by the titles of the books that he came up with in that story.

    39. Reclusive Phoenix (fka Warchild40k) Creator on

Some of the audio books that are out are particularly good as well. Always good for a road trip or while sitting in traffic.

    40. Reclusive Phoenix (fka Warchild40k) Creator on

Colour out of Space is definitely another good one. And the HPLHS films all have a good ominous vibe to them.

    41. Reclusive Phoenix (fka Warchild40k) Creator on

Hi Alejandro, at the $12 level you pick whichever miniature you want on the graphic that shows all the $12 miniatures available. Then if you want others simply add their cost to your pledge. You can find the price in the add-on section towards the bottom of the front page. The actual selection part will be done in the pledge manager. For now just put the costs into your pledge amount. That help?

As a schoolboy back in the 80's I saw a copy of Call of Cthulhu in the Games Workshop in London (back then I'm pretty sure there were only one or two of them...). I was transfixed by the cover art showing this titanic octopoid creature striding through the waves and had to buy it! I only came to the books later on but loved the eerie atmosphere they created. As well as CoC I've played Mansions of Madness, Arkham Horror and Mythos (a great tabletop mini games inspired by HPL). I'm also a huge fan of the black and white films made by the HP Lovecraft Historical Society (www.hplhs.org) - The Whisperer In Darkness and The Call of Cthulhu are fantastically atmospheric!

    43. Alejandro Duarte on

I’m confused as to which ones I get for $12 and how can I get other ones without having to spend $50?

I think I probably picked up lovecraft initially having read the 'wierd' fiction of Robert E Howard,

it's hard to pick a favourite but I keep going back to Shadows over Insmouth, Rats in the Walls and the Colour out of Space most frequently but I like pretty much everything. I also had many happy years running a Call of Cthulhu roleplaying campaign when we were all young enough to start at 6pm Friday and end some time on Saturday morning

plus of course the movies (some good, some bad, some even pretty close to the stories rather than just nabbing the name and a few unspeakable tomes)
