Based out of San Diego, California, we established ourselves as the originals of Urban Reggae music. Formed in 2005, Tribal Theory's signature is the fusion of strong Pacific Island roots with the feel good vibes of Reggae, grittiness of Rock, and the soulful harmonies of R&B. For the past two and a half years, we have been on the road touring, playing shows all over California, the Pacific Northwest, Hawaii, Guam and even Saipan.
Finally, we are here today, back in the studio recording our fourth compilation, an EP titled “Reclamation”. We had the honor of joining forces with Jesse Barrera (of My American Heart); whom has produced the likes of Jeremy Passion, AJ Rafael, and many more.
Over the past two and a half years, we really found ourselves. We were trying to find the right vibe, the right feel… this is why we are working with Jesse Barrera. We worked in so many studios, putting out so much time and money out of our own pockets to make it work, but never seemed to find the right fit. We did two songs with Jesse and all that came out of those sessions were everything we were looking for this entire time. ⁃ We are here because one thing: Music. And we want to continue to create something that we can be proud of, but also, something to make you the fans proud of… and that is what we call "Reclamation."
The most important aspect of the experience is giving back to YOU, our fans. For years, you have come out to shows and supported us through every outlet possible, and now we want to give you what you been asking for: new music. At the same time, while you support our campaign to get this new album going, we have created a wide variety of incentives from pre-ordering our new album to hanging out with us for a day in San Diego!
Kickstarter is a great platform that allows independent artist like ourselves the ability to create and afford an amazing album for you in a short amount of time. This is 100% a fan exclusive experience. We do not have a label. All we have is YOU, and YOU make this possible.
Risks and challenges
Although Kickstarter is the best platform for independent artist, there is one catch: There is a possibility that we may not be able to fund our album if we don't reach our goal.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
