@James Hi James, No on the coin batteries, as we said above "These are great for our 'Light Pods' to save you on battery costs." These coin batteries are for Light Pods not for the Steam Pods. We are just letting people know we have them available in our store for our other products.
Steam Pods have a much higher power requirement and that is why we designed them to use the LiPo battery. Nothing has changed, we simply put out a poll to ask if anyone would like additional options for power and we are looking into that. We will make an announcement on that very soon.
OK, I am a little confused. So it looks like there are going to be several different battery options. From what I know about the LIPO batteries it seems that the difference is going to be run time. Any information available on the mAh for the coin batteries, it looks like the flat pack is 1100 mAh and how long could one expect the flat pack or the coin batteries to last under constant use.
Sorry we update that to address your comment more directly Yes this is to say the Steam Pod will have the option for the LiPo battery but it will not be exclusive to LiPo only. There will be other options as well.
Hey Adam, no we have not made that update yet. This is just to say we have LiPo batteries available in our store. As the poll is almost split we will likely have several options to power the Steam Pod. The LiPo battery is just one. Standby for more updates.
So does this mean that steam pods will for sure have the li-po option?
