When you make a pledge or manage it, your selection will be green. There will be a dollar amount. You can increase this number while still keeping the highlighted reward package.

I can't figure out how to do an add-on for the dvd package

While $750 is indeed a lot of money, educational DVDs (which are exclusively available to schools and libraries) are not in the same ballpark as conventional DVDs when it comes to price. And that's an understatement. If I had to make a rough, educated guess, I would assume that this collection runs around $4,000. So for the folks who are able to afford $750, it's an absolute steal. For the rest of us, it's still an incredible opportunity to have access to the smaller DVD collections, even if we are all pining after the complete collection :)

Choose-your-own download is something I wish could be done as well. I LOVE reading Rainbow but the prices for the DVD sets are astronomical. What family with young children has $750 to spend on DVDs?

    5. Deborah Cox Suggs on June 20, 2014

I might have to start my own Kickstarter to buy the entire collection! Digital downloads are great, but there's just something nice about owning a physical copy. Thank you for making this available!

As my favorite episode is The Bionic Bunny Show, I wish I could get that as a stand alone episode or part of a cheaper collection. Thanks.

Ooh, I see all my favorite eps/books that were featured! Come a Tide, The Robbery at the Diamond Dog Diner, Is This a House for Hermit Crab?, Stellaluna, the Coral Reefs and Saguaro Cactus, etc. What a shame that Martha Speaks, Arthur, & The Magic Schoolbus couldn't be included!! Of course those are three that got turned into successful cartoon series, so that's likely why. Still a real shame. Gah, I have sooooo many favorite childhood books and series...and I remember how wonderful the books used to feel and SMELL in elementary school! So shiny and flexible and...plasticky, I guess. Did anyone else have one of those big sheets with transparent pockets hanging in the classroom, where the teacher would slide the sentences in on long strips as you read along?

    8. Abe Lee on June 19, 2014

I'm sure a lot of Trekkies would like to be able to get The Bionic Bunny as a stand alone episode or as a part of a cheaper collection. I know it's on the Season 2 Star Trek tng set, but not as a complete episode and without the Reading Rainbow theme.

Maybe it's just me but $250 for 25 episodes still seems pretty unreasonable. You'd never pay that for a conventional DVD release. I understand this is a fundraising goal and that we're trying to help kids, but these still feel extremely overpriced to me.

I personally am not able to afford to pledge enough for the "Complete Collection" set, but a suggestion for those putting the collection together (especially if there are ever any plans to make it available in the mainstream in the future): For the three episodes that aren't available (which I can understand since all three of those books turned into their own PBS series), how about include the "video field trips" from the missing episodes, editing out references to the books in question, or even perhaps finding a new book that is appropriate to the episode's theme and replacing the feature story with a new book? I recall at least two of those three episodes as a kid, and know they were both great episodes and that its possible to "work around" the feature book and still present most of the episode. At the very least, the field trips would make a nice bonus feature!

    11. Sarah Troedson on June 18, 2014

If we could request digital downloads of specific episodes, that would be really wonderful. I'm sure it would be a logistical nightmare to allow custom 5-episode DVD requests. But I'd really love to be able to purchase a few specific episodes (digitally) in addition to the collections! I wish I could afford the entire series but I can't. Thank you!

    12. Constance - Chantress of the OO on June 18, 2014

Will there be any way to request specific episodes? Mostly I want to get Rumplestiltskin for my Ren Faire friends (Who would all buy it if it was available...)
