Now you can with MIG. Our compact modular system allows you to grow up to 80 plants in a very compact space. The beauty of MIG is in its footprint taking up less than 1.5 square feet of space.
Each MIG grow module holds five plants. Each of the four sliding, adjustable trays contains four modules for a total of twenty plants per tray.
Most indoor gardening systems lack the size and ability to grow a variety of plants in one space for successful succession growing. With MIG, you can easily slide out the tray and move a module to your kitchen where you harvest your food then, once collected, replace the module with new seed pods to start the next succession of growing. Grow the food you like - the sky is the limit.
MIG is designed to be compact, portable, and versatile. The castors easily allow it to be moved from any room straight to your kitchen. MIG doesn't require multiple stages of growing. Just drop in your seeds and MIG does the rest.
HOW MANY PLANTS CAN I GROW WITH MIG?
While most home systems only let you grow up to 20 plants, MIG allows you to grow as many as 80 plants all at once. Each slide-out tray has four modules that grow five plants each for a total of 20 plants per tray. There are four trays per MIG.
How Do I Water MIG?
Water automatically fills with a low voltage pump to a predetermined level that lets the root systems absorb oxygen under a modified Krakey method. (See Reference below)

Growing a range of mixed greens can be cut, and then they will sprout again - "cut and come again." Harvesting when you need them prevents plants from maturing and ensures several harvests of small, tender, delicious veggies and herbs.
The grow modules are open each end to allow nutrients to freely flow to the pods maximizing oxygen and nutrient uptake to the roots.

NEW LED TECHNOLOGY
MIG uses LED technology that provides more light with less wattage by an aluminum thermal quantum board reflector panel. The balanced spectrum of red and blue LEDs maximizes both grow and bloom cycles of the plant.
The slim LED panels fit in the MIG unit slots and the light distance can be adjusted as the plants grow. The cooling aluminum reflector panels allow the LEDs to be in close proximity to the plants for optimal growth.
ACCELERATED PLANT GROWTH
These lettuces were grown in 15 days. At this point, you can harvest whenever you want or just keep them growing. Growing plants hydroponically boosts plant growth by bringing nutrients directly to the plants, so they don't have to develop large root systems to seek out food. MODIFIED KRATKY METHOD
The MIG uses a modified Kratky Method (see A below). The seedling draws water up into the net pot and the water level in the tray will start to decrease. This lower water level will then fill with air providing oxygen for the roots of the plant. This system is designed to stabilize the pH as described in the Kratky method. (See Reference A)
Cropping cycles are typically finished without altering the pH with the MIG design.

SO WHAT ARE MICROGREENS AND WHY ARE THEY GOOD FOR YOU?
Microgreens are tiny versions of your favorite veggies and herbs like radishes, arugula, cabbage, basil, cilantro, etc. They also contain crazy amounts of antioxidants and nutrients.
Brendan Davison, the author of "The Microgreens Cookbook," says the trendy veggies are four to 40 times more nutrient-dense than their mature counterparts. They are also 100 percent bioavailable, which means that your body can absorb all the nutrient substances.
The MIG's footprint is only 13 inches wide by 15 inches deep for 80 plants! Certainly this is one of the most efficient and cost-effective growing system on the market today. When the four trays are laid out flat like a garden, they add up to almost five square feet of growing space!

Risks and challenges
If there weren't any risks, it wouldn't be novel, original or any fun.
Moving from prototype to production is rarely easy but having the experience of bringing projects to production is not new to me. Doing this for the first time is always filled with unknowns, fortunately, this is not my rodeo. I have built trust over the last 30 years working with reliable partners that deliver. We would rather have the chance to deliver your MIG earlier rather than later - just as we did with our Lumia Lamp and Franken Edison Light, VERSI Stand & Stand Up Stand in a Tube.
Our molds are done and we're ready for production. I am targeting delivery for February 2020 which allows us some time from when the project ends, funds are delivered and components ordered. Germination, yield, and time to harvest may vary.
