The Live Cube is tiny house filled with enchanted objects left behind by it's previous owner. He grew up in the Midwest but fled due to ecological disaster. He eventually settled into the Live Cube. He's a bit of a hacker and a tinkerer, which can sometimes get him into trouble. The story is set in a dystopian future plagued by resource scarcity. This not-so-far-away future is faced with unreliable electricity, severe drought, and famine. By playing with the many objects found inside the Cube, you are not only able to learn about the life of its previous owner, but about this strange, dark world.
We've spent the past eight months writing stories, designing objects, programming Arduinos, and building a tiny house. The Live Cube is fascinating because it's so many things rolled up into one, but that's what makes its so compelling. It's been a fantastic learning experience, and generally speaking, a blast! We're so close to completing our grand vision, but we need help. The Live Cube is still without a proper roof. It needs a door, but one that will help guests feel very immersed inside. We have furniture for the interior, but much of it still needs needs to be built or modified. We want this to feel like an authentic house. We also want to bring the Live Cube to as many places as possible. While we have a trailer to transport it on, that trailer needs to be properly outfitted with a sturdy ramp. As grad students, we're limited on financial resources, even after some of the small grants we have received. We would be so grateful for any monetary contribution to the project.

Risks and challenges
One risk we've all discussed is what we might do with the Cube after we finish school. We would love to see it at museums or to take it on tour. While regional Maker Faire events and art shows are within our reach, we realize there is a risk to undertaking something larger. Nonetheless, we gracefully accept that challenge!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
