Grab bunnies. Slay bears. JUMP ON RACOONS! Wildlife combat is done right in Guardians of the Forest, a multiplayer brawler set in the mystical woods. Grab your friends, pick a cute animal character, and dive into the arena to demolish your opponents!
Guardians of the Forest is a multiplayer brawler featuring adorable animals and violent deaths. Choose from a diverse array of characters and weapons, develop your strategies, and duke it out with your friends on 40 different battlegrounds! Featuring over 15 different game modes and a ton of customization, Guardians of the Forest makes for a truly diverse brawling experience.
- The game will be available in EARLY ACCESS on Steam for Windows, Mac and Linux in three languages : English / Spanish / Portugese.
- Then, the game will be released in version 1.0 for PC (Windows, Mac and Linux), PlayStation 4 and OUYA. It will be available in 10 languages !
- If we reach a specific stretch goal (5000$), Guardians of the Forest will be available for Wii U AND Xbox One.
Single & Multiplayer !
Guardians of the Forest features single-player and local multiplayer modes. Grab some buddies and do battle in the arena! Be warned though–after you demolish them they may no longer be your buddies. We are working to implement online multiplayer (If possible, cross-platform!) so you can play with your friends (or with random people) across the globe.
Online Rankings
Show off your track record of gruesome kills (and gruesome deaths, too!) in the online leaderboards. Share and compare statistics and records. Compete with your friends and stroke your ego!
40 Unique Battlegrounds
We have actually 40 stages planed, and we have tons of ideas to implement more! Our objective is to propose you diversity ! You don’t want to fight always and always in the same ring! You will be able to prepare tactics and will have to adapt your style to the stage.
You want to vote for new battlegrounds ? Back 25$ or more and influence the level design of GOTF ! We definitely want your feedbacks !
15+ Game Modes
Play normal or customize the games as you wish and enjoy the battle on your own terms.
- Classic mode: Each players has lives, fight until the last one alive. Who will be the survivor ?
- Deathmatch: Compete to see which one achieves a goal of kills first, so you play until the last moment. Who is the hunter ?
- King of the Hill: Typical KOTH, you need to stay alone in one place until a counter reaches zero. There can be only one King.
Some modes will be available “every man for himself” or in team. More modes will be revealed later :)
Weapons & Armors
The sword or the flying boomerang are not enough for you? Find shurikens, grenades… You can also find pieces of armor in the battleground to protect your self.
There is actually twelve items available in GOTF : sword, rod, boomerang, slingshot… but also a helmet or gloves to protect yourself. Check the list on the forum and help us to choose new ones !
Level EditorIf 40 different battlegrounds isn’t enough for you, you can dive into the level editor and create an arena that suits you. Make it scary. Make it cute. Make an exact replica of a zoo and wage all-out war among the animals!!! Get creative.

Customizable Characters
Sure, bunnies are great. But so are foxes, wolves and deer. Don’t worry about being spoiled for choice. You can customize your characters to suit your style! Find your animal, customize it to make it unique and join the fight. Will your enemy remember this green and orange wolves as an Alpha or as a PROIE ?

Child-Friendly, Too!
Sure, Guardians of the Forest is violent and gory and bloody and gruesome. But there is a solution! We provide you with the ability to turn off blood and gore so that even the youngest of children can giggle as they watch bunnies whacking the life out of each other with pure, seething, unadulterated hatred in their eyes.
Want to test GOTF, please don’t hesitate to download our alpha demo. It’s early stage of the production but we hope you will feel the rage of the fights. This demo is multiplayer local only and available for PC and OUYA. If you have any suggestions or feedback please shoot us a message !
With the initial goal we will be able to finish the game and to make it available for PC, Linux & Mac, including the in-game level editor AND a stand alone level editor! We’ll also push the game out to PS4 and OUYA for you to enjoy from the comfort of your couch.
We will develop two more brand new game modes to enjoy with your friends! Let’s talk about it with us on the forum.

This is one of the more important step of the Kickstarter, and a pillar of the game but we need your help to make it real, to make it available! Fight Guardians all around the world and become the best Guardian of the Forest. A lot of features will come with this part of the game, it will not be just a “game mode”, it will be new aspect of the game.
Guardians of the Forest stayed 5 days on Steam Greenlight. Five very intense days that finished with the Steam Greenlight validation for our game. Thank you to all backers who spread the word around the Steam community, it means a lot to us !
With this success, Guardians of the Forest will be available for PC, Mac and Linux on Steam, so every backers with a 5$ contribution or more will be able to receive a Steam key if they want the game on this platform.

Risks and challenges
As you can see, Guardians of the Forest is already in a beta stage. The game is already up and working. This Kickstarter is to help us pay for several things, mainly to complete the development of the final part of the game during summer. Licensing and development kits are (sadly) not the cheapest things out there. Guardians of the Forest is halfway done, but we would really like to raise some money to ensure that we can fund development through the summer and release an awesome, polished final product for you guys to enjoy as soon as possible!
