Thanks for writing. Let us clarify:

The DVD will ship after the short is completed, and after it runs on Video-on-Demand on The short will not be complete for several months. At that time, you will also receive a link to download the short. All backers at $10 and above will get to see the short, for a limited time, before its release on The May estimate was for the remaining elements of the digital package: wallpaper downloads, access to the video blog, and a thank you email. If you have not received any of these, please message us and we will resend the links to you.

We are posting new updates for Last Days of Coney Island on our Facebook Page. Please follow us there to view these:

Received drawing but no dvd. Is the dvd ready yet? I know last update was months ago. What about digital download? Is that been delayed from May estimate or did I not receive it and it was sent out? If that's the case can I get tracking number or something thanks.

    14. Creator Frogacuda on May 3, 2013

Just got the survey for my doodle. Was starting to get worried but didn't want to complain until it was actually late.

    15. Creator Daniel Blair-Johns on April 29, 2013

I just received today my copy of the Wizards poster and signed Bluray, and although everything appears to have made it through unscathed it looks like there was no Bluray disc inside of the signed Wizards case. I've double checked the packaging and there's nowhere for it to have fallen out, and the package didn't show any signs of tampering so it looks like it was empty at the time of shipment. If you have a spare Bluray of Wizards with no case for it, I think you may have found my disc.

    16. Creator Bela Sobottke on April 23, 2013

Today I received my WIZARDS cel. Wow, this thing is just great! The parcel got stuck at german customs though. I had to pay some additive tax. No problem, it was worth it. The problem was explaining Kickstarter, animation cel, what is reproduction and what an original piece of art to the anal-retentive customs official. He wanted 19% + X , but I managed to buy my way out for an additive tax of 7%. Damn, that was one of the bleakest places I have ever been. So if anybody has the same problem with german customs: Don't pay more sales tax than the reduced 7%. (If your tax official believes / understands that the cell is a gift, you probably don't have to pay anything.)

Now I am even more happy to own an original animation cel of my favorite movie WIZARDS. And I also love the doodle and the poster. And I'd like to show even more appreciation: You guys at Bakshi Productions delivered exactly the scene that I asked for. Thank you so much!

I can't wait to see LAST DAYS and wish everybody at Bakshi Production much fun working on it!

I saw a 35mm print of Coonskin the other week and it made me extremely excited to get my cel. Thanks to Ralph for continuing his legacy of groundbreaking animation and thanks to all the backers for helping to make this happen! I've been itching for new Bakshi material, and can't wait to see the finished product.

    19. Creator James Turner on March 21, 2013

I pledged at $200, I was asked to pick the film I wanted to get my cel from, but not which characters I wanted. Do I get a choice?

    20. Creator Jonathan Baylis on March 6, 2013

      Hi there,
Could've sworn I updated my pledge to $35 so I would get a doodle on a card. But maybe it didn't go through? Can I send you the extra $25 somehow so I can achieve this level of backing please?

This is a dream come true, Mr. Bakshi. For you, as well as for a lot of people. You truly are someone who deserves it and will use the money the right way! Can't wait to see your short. I only hope if your free you check out my campaign in two weeks for the portmanteau film The Blue Plate Special. Not trying to advertise, though, because you are one of my idols and I'm just so happy I could be apart of your next masterpiece, even a small part.

More companies should be begging you to make films, everything you've made in my mind has remained timeless. Your rotoscoping is done in a way that is so perfect, it doesn't come off gimmicky, but carries the story. I'll stop I'm just so overwhelmed with happiness that your back.

Everyone raise even more money so the film can be that much better!

    30. Creator MindChamber on March 2, 2013

Silly technical question, what program are you using to animate LDCI in?

Or are you animating traditionally and scanning in the work?

    31. Creator Elana Pritchard on March 2, 2013

Thanks for keeping it real Ralph!

Whoa!! I got the Prancing Pony drawing! Can't believe it was available for so long. To me it is a
beautiful image of the Borderline between the comforts of home and exciting adventure.
I am thrilled to have it in my office , where I hang out with my two giant St. Bernards and also
work for our professional car racing business - a good home/action counterpart for Mike Ploog's image.
      Thank you!

    36. Creator Gus Stevenson on March 1, 2013

Thrilled to see that this campaign is doing so well! The world needs a new Ralph Bakshi film now more than ever, and I'm glad I could play a part by pledging support!

    37. Creator Karen Ende on March 1, 2013

Ralph, I am so incredibly happy for you and Eddie, getting this new film funded. All of us fans
have missed you for a long time and we are elated at the prospect of a new Bakshi film!
But please let Kickstarter know that some of us might like to donate more than the $10k ultimate choice
and are running into a blockade. There should be no limits to our support for you!!! Yeah!!! For Sure!!!
      Make it happen!!!

    38. Creator ANTHONY ORTEGA on March 1, 2013

Getting a Bakshi print or giclee is like acquiring a Warhol

    39. Creator Daniel Blair-Johns on March 1, 2013

I'm very happy to see that the funding succeeded and to help contribute towards the stretch goal. Your work has always been very influential and inspiring to me, and as Coney Island is one of my favourite places with such a rich and colourful history I'm excited to see you working on a project about it!

    40. Creator Ralph Bakshi on March 1, 2013

Thanks Jason, we're gonna push for it.

Mindchamber, if a vile of blood will work, we will put it up for the sake of animation for you guys! (We'd have to put it at 10k, though;)

      Thanks Everyone!

    41. Creator Jason dePT on March 1, 2013

I'd love to see it hit the extended goal of $180K in the next 43 hours to make the finished piece even longer. I think it can happen.
So stoked it made the primary goal.

    42. Creator Reg Hartt on March 1, 2013

      Yay, it's funded!!!

    48. Creator MindChamber on March 1, 2013

This was probably the most nerve wrecking kickstarter I've ever followed. But just like every true New York underdog story, you came out on Top man.

I can not wait for this. and very happy and proud to contributed in what little I could.

you can stop giving away all your prized possession now haha.

I was afraid there be a teir where you gave away a vile of blood :)

    49. Creator John Bullough on March 1, 2013

Congratulations Ralph! Glad to see you've made it over the top, not only because of the generous offerings in terms of artwork and access, but because it's time for new animation from you and your studio. Like many here, your Lord of the Rings film was my introduction to Tolkien and remains the definitive version in my head when I re-read the books. Anyone who loves Middle Earth, rock music, and can weave American history into his work deserves the recognition you've earned by making your Kickstarter goal ahead of time!

    50. Creator Dylan on March 1, 2013

      Hey Mr. Bakshi

I just wanted to propose a suggestion for the film regarding the casting. The actor I suggest you should try to cast is SID HAIG (House of 1,000 Corpses) to play Max. I think he has a great voice and that he's going to knock the character of MAX out of the park. That's all I want to ask, you don't have to do listen to me if you want, I was justing suggesting this to you. So what do you think about my choice overall?
