This has been a challenging and wonderful year. (First the lament, followed by notes about progress.) The Kickstarter campaign was just successful enough to pay for some of the time to prepare and execute the campaign. Regardless, I thought I would get the watchfaces and cards done earlier this year in my free time. What I discovered was, there was NO FREE TIME!
Shortly after this kickstarter campaign completed, our second son came into the world. That's the wonderful part of the year. The challenge has been that between the time I took off for paternity leave and the time I had already taken for the campaign I was behind on work. I've been trying to catch up all year. People ask me about getting sleep with a new baby; I blame the lack of sleep on work.
I am still wearing my Pebbles and I am still planning on completing these watchfaces. I have finally arranged some real free time from now to mid-January. My wife, valiantly, traveled from California to Germany with our two boys to visit her family over the holidays. I've stayed at home to try to finally make some discernable progress on getting these watchfaces out to you.
This fall I did quietly update the apps on the Pebble store to support 24 hour time. I also did additional clean up to the code and development of other features and faces. This development hasn't been polished enough to release. Between now and mid-January I'm going to have my own personal hackathon with the goal to get as close to finished as possible. I plan to make weekly updates through this time.
Thank You for your patience and fortitude.
P.S. Lost Pebble Lake
This summer we did get out for a road trip from California to Washington. I brought my computer, thinking I would have some time alone along the way to work on the watchfaces. Unfortunately the only Pebble development was while swimming in a lousy beach at Lost Creek Lake, I lost my Pebble Time Steel. ☹️. If you happen to be passing by Stewart State Park in Oregon look for it. Let me know if you find it, you deserve the prize.
