Hey Rain World peeps, I've got to keep this short but wanted to let you guys in on some really exciting things that are going on.

First off, Rain World just got picked up by Adult Swim Games, which is awesome for 3 huge reasons:

#1 They are super rad, of course.

#2 They are 100% here to help us take Rain World to the next level, AKA we can now officially announce that Rain World is coming to PSN, PS Vita and well beyond! Rejoice!

#3 As a result, Joar just flew in from Sweden and we are showing Rain World at PAX East starting TOMORROW, so if you happen to be around for the convention, stop by the Adult Swim Games booth and say hi! We're right by the giant Adventure Time Finn.

We'll be demoing a bit of multi-player stuff from the current alpha build, so bring 3 friends and viciously spear each-other or toss them into the waiting jaws of hungry lizards, etc, etc. If you let us know you are a backer we may even have some limited edition stickers for you!

Anyway, Joar and I are hard at work polishing the build for tomorrow, so I've got to run. We'll be doing an interview on the main PAX stream at around 3:30pm EST, where we'll talk a bit about the game, probably act silly from staying up all night, then we will face off head 2 head, slugcat master vs. slugcat master for your amusement. Clearly a must-watch.

Thanks as always, we'll keep you up to date on all the excitement!

Woo! Welcome to the family James & Joar, super psyched to have Westerado next to Rain World at PAX East.

Enjoy the event, we didn't have the cash to make it, but hopefully see you around the event circuit at some point!

The vita news excites me. Perfect game i could see myself playing all the time on it while I'm out and about.

As long as we can still get the "early access" (god I hate that term...) out of Steam...

I hit the "like" button so many times that my left kneecap exploded. I will now be seeking medical attention. Thanks.

Really glad you guys were picked up by someone like Adult Swim, they know how to choose them. Good luck at PAX!

also Congrats on your big news!

well, Rain World has already been Greenlit by the community. so they won't run into any of the problems that Paranautical Activity ran into. so i dont see there being any issues with them trying to get it on Steam faster.

I just read that article. Not sure what you're getting at. That has more to do with the Greenlight process than a strike against Adult Swim

And AS also has published a number of games on Steam: Volgarr The Viking, Soundodger, Jazzpunk, among others

    13. JimmyM on April 11, 2014

Just remember the story of Paranautical Activity (, when Adult Swim tried to get their share of Steam sales as publisher (and failed).

Awesome news! I know a lot of people will be excited about the Vita news

@Bryan - why would there be legal issues? A publisher helps with testing, localization, exposure and marketing, porting to consoles, provides access to expos and shows, etc.

How does this work with the fact the game is already funded via Kickstarter? I think Adult Swim Games does great work as a publisher, but I am surprised there are no legal issues here.

Aww... I want some stickers :(

Anyways, sounds awesome! Maybe I'll get a Vita for it.
